Important Recall Info for Repub's
Edited on Tue Jul-29-03 01:45 PM by FoeOfBush
Please cut and paste this PSA into any freep-mail you may get, the fastest way to reach the repuke base, especially those you know reside in CA

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

California Election Code §11382 which provides that "No vote cast in the recall election shall be counted for any candidate unless the voter also voted against the recall of the officer sought to be recalled."

This is a Public Service Announcement for all my fellow Republicans, aka, True Americans. Don't let the rash of misinformation about the recall cause you to miss your chance to vote for a Republican for Governor. Here's the deal;
To have your vote for Davis' replacement count you MUST vote against him, that is VOTE NO on the first question! Per the election code cited above, only those that vote NO, have their subsequent choice for replacement counted! Please copy and send to all your friends and relatives in California!

M Racicot

1. Huh?
That sounds like it could count against Davis either way. Sorry if I seem too confused.

5. That is a LIE!
This is how that code section reads:

11382. No vote cast in the recall election shall be counted for any
candidate unless the voter also voted for or against the recall of
the officer sought to be recalled.

(NOTE: For or AGAINST the recall!)

Please post where you obtained this lie. It may be important to determine the source of misinformation in order to seek charges against individuals or organizations for violating election law.

6. He's suggesting a deception to get Repukes to vote "NO"
Voting "NO" is the same as voting FOR DAVIS!

8. Thanks Walt! That's the point exactly! I shoiuld have realized
the lack of the "liar gene" in my fellow Dems would cause them to miss the ruse.

Send it on to repukes everywhere, anyway.

It's kinda like the old Dems vote on Tuesday, all others vote on wednesday thing, only a little more topical.

9. I know... oops.
Should have read more carefully... but my point is that I have seen some rightists make the opposite distortion online.
