"Would you rather have Saddam back?"

Faced with the inevitable loss of public support for their dishonestly marketed war of aggression, GOP apologists have begun to sneer the rather obscene question "would you rather have Saddam back?"

I would suggest that a fair answer to this question might include the following:

1. The answer to that is ...sadam could have been ousted through
the UN! Let's not forget that! But where's the oil in that?

We didn't need to go into a Country and kill how many thousands of her citizens and how many of our Soldiers to get them out! That's bush bogus.

2. I prefer the selfish route myself.
Would I rather have Saddam back? Why should I care either way? Saddam was no threat to me. And no, I don't care about liberating the Iraqui people. I'd rather have the dead American soldiers back, thanks.

3. The short answer is no.
But then you have to ask the other question.
Would the iraqis been better off with an internationally sanctioned regieme change? Would the iraqis been better off with water and electricity? How about the thousands we killed in bombardment, would they rather have their life back?

This could have been done so much better without invasion.
But that would not have made Bechtel, Brown and Root, Halliburton, and all the other oil monopolists happy piggies, now would it?

4. Good, but it leaves out a couple of points:
1. I would rather have my country back.
2. I would rather be without a much-greater threat to world peace: Dubya.

5. No. Not at all. I will be perfectly happy for Iraq to turn into another...
...Islamic Republic simular to Iran. If that is what the majority of Iraqi's want, then that is what they should have.

6. My answer:
HELL YES!!!!
At least we didn't have to piss 4 billion dollars a month down the fucking toilet with his ass being in Iraq. The GOP put Saddam into power and sold him weapons so he is THEIR PROBLEM.

7. It's a stupid question
That shouldn't be answered. Childish, and inane that reflects on the intelligence level of the person asking it.

8. Yes, that is the only alternative.
Saddam back in charge...OR...thousands of innocent people killed and 2 countries destroyed, Iraq and America's credibility.

The world is so easy when it is just black or white isn't it?

9. "Who's gonna fight of the Ayatollah?"
I guess Rumsfeld will have to find another dictator's hand to shake.
