Arianna Huffington's husband was gay??
Just read a Repug in California, who is openly gay and named Huffington is considering a run on the recall ballot? Is that the former Mr. Arianna Huffington?

3. Yes, he is gay
I know many men who would be willing to console Ms. Huffington, though.

I couldn't ever remember reading his obit

4. yes
one and the same. Did you read Blinded by the Right? I guess it was an acknowledged fact by both sides when they got married (although I guess I really didn't need to state that:) Arianna said that they would not both run (i.e. if he ran, she wont). She'd better not run anyways, I see her as the ultimate opportunist, even though I like a lot of her stuff, and this would do nothing but give the 'thugs a better shot at victory IMHO.

11. She's an opportunist alright
Now she's in cahoots with the Greens--great, they give the Presidency to Bush, and now they'll help give the governorship of California to Issa or some other Republican thug. Never trusted her, and I never will. Once a Republican, always a Republican.

16. No
Arianna's running will not necessarily give the governorship to the Repubs. If several of them run, and no known Democrat gets into the race, _she_ might well win. She's more articulate, intelligent, and certainly more attractive, than any of their likely candidates. (And she says she'll run as an independent if she runs at all.)
It wouldn't be the best outcome, but it's certainly not the worst.

5. Yes. He came out after losing the most expensive campaign in Cali history.
Needless to say Arianna was not pleased when Michael told her.

Aren't republicans fun?

6. he told arianna before they married
he told arianna before they got married that he had relationships with other men. i think he is also a democrat now, but don't know for sure. i remember before he publicly came out, arianna was on some show and this was before she "came out" as supportive of liberal causes. the issue was about gays and i expected her to bash them because i had only known her as a right winger but she wasn't bashing them. i guess this was the start of her turning away from the right wing.

13. She's one of the biggest Clinton-haters alive today.
I got so sick of hearing her preach about Clinton's indiscretions. She was leading the charge that he should resign. I'll never trust her again.

15. Huffington won't run as a Dem
She told Paula Zahn last night she would only run as an independant AND ONLY IF her EX decided not to run at all. Something about one of them needing to be the responsible parent.

It's the very last time I will watch Zahn. Did anyone see her mocking us to Mary Matalin and Victoria Clarke? I was so pissed I walked outta the room and fired off an email to CNN.
