I caught a little bit of Crossfire yestiddy
And James predicted Hillary would run for president and Bill Richardson for the vice presidency. He said it was his long shot.

1. I can't decide if the continued
silliness about Hillary running is good because it allows the real candidates to run more or less unnoticed, or bad because it either divides the party or doesn't give enough attention to the serious candidates.

5. It's not fair to Hillary
She should not have to say she's not running 1,000 times.

2. Carville is now a part of the Beltway establishment
Both he and Begala are regulars for the party circuit. And I expect both will become regulars on the Im-an-ass-in-the-morning show as well. I don't pay anymore attention to Carville than I do his wife, or Holy Joe.

3. I pay a lot of attention to Carville

I saw him on C-SPAN the other day. He was great, saying the Dems should stop acting ashamed of being Dems. After all, he said, we're the party that won two World Wars, created Social Security and Medicare and passed civil rights legislation. Carville DID say it was his longshot, so I think he was juat throwing it out there, probably to get the RW's knickers in a twist.

4. I lost all respect for Carville when I learned
he'd been retained by Venezuela's putschist oligarchs to advise them on their Chavez recall initiative.

"From the left"? Not where I'm standing.

6. ahhh......from the left of........?
isn't that the question anymore...

Is he left of "far right" or just "not quite as far right"?

I used to like Carville but my eyes have since been opened .... he & Begala are both "beltway boys" IMHO. Good *talk* (sometimes) but actions prove otherwise.

what else is new???

Peace
DR

I was shocked. He's still a sometimes enjoyable windbag, but I no longer respect him nor trust him.
