CBS just ended the news with a story out of Seattle Washington where 2 Chinese and 1 black teen came to the aid of a Chinese woman(spoke no English) but the bystander eyewitness told the cops that the 3 were the muggers. They were jailed, bail set at 10, 15, and $25,000 respectively. They were good students according to the teachers and everyone was surprised at what was happening. When a translator was provided she told the police that the teenagers had come to her aid and yet after a night in jail and 1000,s in legal fees the city has offered no apology nor refund of fees to the teens. You make the call was it?/?.

Some people make unfair conclusions when they see any teenage boys, let alone teenage boys of color, especially if they weren't wearing suits and ties. I haven't seen the story. You would have thought that they would have gotten a Chinese translator in Seattle and questioned the woman within hours after the boys' arrest.

I think it was racial because all the police had to do from the beginning was get a translator for the victim and see if the teens were lying. Instead, the boys had to spend a night in jail, pay bail and other legal fees.

My other issue was that the black teen had the highest bail, when the bail should have been the same for all, since none had records. The bail seemed to go as the "defendant" got darker, the higher the bail.

all of them had clean slates, same school, supposedly did the same thing. As far as the tipster, hard to tell.
