American's For Regime Change In Iran!
The US media almost entirely ignores news regarding the Islamic Republic of Iran. As Tony Snow of the Fox News Network has put it, “this is probably the most under-reported news story of the year.”

But most American’s are unaware that the Islamic Republic of Iran is NOT supported by the masses of Iranians today. Modern Iranians are among the most pro-American in the Middle East.

There is a popular revolt against the Iranian regime brewing in Iran today. Starting June 10th of this year, Iranians have begun taking to the streets to express their desire for a regime change. Most want to replace the regime with a secular democracy. Many even want the US to over throw their government.

It looks like they are trying to sell it to their core before they move on to an invasion.

1. The population of Iran is relatively very young
I don't remember the exact numbers, but not long ago I heard that the population of Iran is about 50% under the age of thirty and "chompping at the bit" for reform. The government can hold them down but can't stop the flow of information from the West. Good new for everyone.........except the mullahs

2. That is true,
and the people of Iran would be better off with a different government.

My point in posting this is that Iran is on the PNAC list of US military targets, so it is interesting that the Freepers are taking it on as an issue. It likely means that the reasons for the next invasions are being given to the loyal base early.

3. Actually, there may be some truth to this.
I play soccer with some Iranian Americans who tell me they hate the Iranian regime - which came into power after the country was tyrannized by America's ally, the Shah.

It's just another American-made problem that can now be exploited by America.

They are rotten people, but this is about the invasion I'd guess.

5. This isn't right.
The Bam earthquakes have just destroyed a city and these guys are talking about invasion? I don't support the Mullahs but before talking of democratic reform of any kind in Iran, let's make sure they have enough time to come to grips with this tragedy.

6. If the Iranians want a new government, they can do it themselves.
I've heard this same thing about Iran- that the people don't like their government and they want to replace it with a more western style democracy. It may be true, it may be bullshit to justify American intervention.

But I really don't give a shit whether it's true or not. I don't think the question of who should govern Iran is worth a single American life.
