Anybody think it's time to expose who Bush really is?
Generally I'm against dirty campaigning but I think that we have no choice. It's time to expose Bush as the corrupt evil lying sack of shit that he is. TV ads, radio ads, billboard ads for god's sake we need to get rid of this perception that he is your "compassionate conservative protector" and show everybody whatt he's relaly like. I'd start suggesting that people donate to the DLC but I know that they don't have the organization or the balls for a well run dirty campaign. I've seen the moveon.org ads and they're good but I think we need something even more extreme. We need to expose the PNAC agenda and the plans for the draft. We need to scare the living shit out of people who don't know the truth about Bush. Any ideas?

4. But...
... we can't fight like they do. Scaring people isn't the way to get the message out, though any truth about his Administration is scary.

About once a month I come up with a new Bush truth flyer to distribute about different places.

26. Go for the jugular
Al Gore lost, well, not really because he was trying to run a clean campaign and wanted to stay above it all.

Gloves off. Bring up every bit of his record. Use Neil Bush. Ashcroft should be an issue. TEXAS should be an issue.

5. If chimpy dares to debate
We'll see the expose' first hand.

However, I'm not sure the idiot will even let the debates happen. The timing of the RNC in NY kinda shortens the time frame.

9. Chimpy debated Gore and received 540,000 votes less than the President
If he debates anyone except for a tool of the GOP. He might not even get it close enough to steal. If he debates. I will be suprised. There will be an excuse that the media will swallow hook line and sinker. And low and behold no debates. These guy`s do not play to lose. But their leader is the biggest loser I have ever laid eyes on.

11. I'm with you Wildman
If this idiot steps on a stage with my choice, he will walk away with his head in his hands. Hell, it doesn't matter which Dem he debates, he is naked.

Rove knows the chimp will crumble, so I'm in agreement that there will be no debates. I just hope our candidate can capitalize on that and turn it in his favor.

6. Grassroots for now
If everyone made a concerted effort to "educate" five people and they turned around and shared The Dirt with five other people, we can get the jungle drums beating. Consider it a Whispering Campaign of Political Gossip, generate some "Buzz" coordinated with the MoveOn campaign and the media will eventually start covering it as "news". We need to generate enough energy so it HAS to wake up those slow-moving reptilian brains out there, doncha' know?

Speaking of activism, this gives me another opportunity to give this thread one more shot at the Spotlight.....

What are you doing to make a difference?

12. Dirty campaigning? Bu$h Inc. has our hands dirty with the blood of Iraqi`s
Based on big whoppers that ain`t from burger king. Yes the truth hurts. Will Americans swallow the truth or the big lie? That Bu$h Inc. and their bought and paid for media will propagate. That is the million dollar corporate media question. "To lie cheat and steal" or "
To not lie cheat and steal" That is the real question.

10. Spread Shitloads of Deception Dollars around
and place anti-Bush stickers on your car. Two very easy, painless methods of "meme warfare". I conveniently leave behind a few DD's wherever I go, be it the supermarket, convenience store, gas station, post office, and my favorite, ATM booths. I have no control over who picks them up, but I'm sure they accomplish the goal of shocking people anyhow. It's important to place that shadow of a doubt about Bush's goodness even among conservatives. I'm doing this up in New Hampshire, which will be a key state in the election, despite only having 4 electoral votes.

You can order Deception Dollars at one of the websites listed at www.deceptiondollar.com. Whether you think 9-11 was LIHOP, MIHOP, or just plain incompetance, there are links to sites which give the big picture, not just about 9-11, but the whole of Bush junta corruptiuon. Sites such as whatreallyhappend.com, onlinejournal.com, oilempire.us, globalfreepress.com, copvcia, standdown.net and many more.

14. The most damaging add for bush would be
One that exposed his family’s ties to Scull and Bones and accused him of partaking in satanic ritual.
That would be a real revelation to the Fundies. But just try to get thet message across. No one would run the add.

15. My opinion...
I don't see Skull and Bones being a huge deal...

I was in a fraternity in college and during Hell Week, we participated in some real odd stuff...And I mean some REAL odd stuff!! And outsider might consider some of it "Satanic" but in fact, it was just some real odd stuff passed-down by fraternity members over the years...Nothing even close to satanic about it. It was really just meant to screw with the pledges minds...In a fairly harmless way, really.

And besides, haven't some Dems belonged to Skull and Bones? (I'm not really up on it because I've never considered it much of a big deal).

19. It is a big deal to fundamentalist Christians
Because they have been told all this time that Satan was working to change the government to serve Satan.
But to understand what a satanic ritual is just read Anton LeVey book “The Satanic Ritual” The purpose of the ritual is to fuck with peoples minds.

20. Like I said...
...I doubt that it's "Satanic" stuff. I am more of the opinion that it's just your average run of the mill weird fraternity stuff.

I guess you would have had to have gone through a standard fraternity initiation process to understand. (Or, at least to have gone through one before they started cracking-down on hazing).

18. Skull and Bones
They could use similar sorts of attack ads for Dems though..... Listen I'm a Democratic whether my friends like it or not, but the bottom line is that when you boil down both parties - unfortunately in the world we live in today, there's not too much left that we can use to differentiate between the two parties... Now there can be.. don't get me wrong.. BUt currently - there are scum bags in both parties...

And that one fits the mold
It is similar to the ones they used against McCain in SC where they distributed a flyer through the churches that said Ho Chi Min erected a statue to McCain for his help in the war. Remember?

32. Most politicians are scum...
Every now and then there's one or two good ones. This is why I don't complain whenever our dem senators don't vote Republican because I don't expect politicians to give a shit about anybody else's interests. Even if they are dems, most of them still suck.

16. Why not..
Why not simply make an educated argument against Bush Admin. policy both domestic and foreign, and why your agenda or vision of policy would be better not just for America, but for the world. I've been to a lot of peace rallys and one thing I notice is that some activists become so xtreme that they throw away any chance of attracting new members or relaying some sort of valuable message.. Simply saying BUSH Is a "THIS" or BUSH IS "THAT" doesn't have any long-term effect, other than probably enraging the hell out of people like you and I who obviously don't hold him in high regard.

Wish you luck -
Best,
Amir

22. Educated arguments
are held in contempt by far too many Americans who were born and bred in a "sound-bite" culture.

Anyone who NEEDS CONVINCING that the BFEE is DESTROYING THE COUNTRY is willfully deaf, dumb, blind, stoned, stupid or all of the above. Anyone who can watch that *bumbling asshole stammering his way through incomplete, incoherent sentences and utter words of praise is in SERIOUS need of *cult deprogramming.

What continually AMAZES me is that as the pocketbook issues become increasingly blatant, a clarion call for accountability has yet to take hold. Stupid me, I thought when the Enron scandal broke the screams of outrage would be heard in Tierra del Fuego! Years later... NOTHING!

An "educated argument" is USELESS to sway an uneducated citizenry.

My brother and I spoke this morning. He went on about the "socialist" Democratic party having no viable candidates and how "socialism" doesn't work citing memes of years past. He has NO CLUE. Where does one even start to unravel such ignorance? Is there a jingoistic phrase that will make a dent? In that moment I resorted to ABB. I stressed that Tinkerbell, Lassie, Suzy Snowflake or MY FRIEND FLICKA would be better choices. It DID get him thinking...

24. well said...
.... and I agree completely. This is where the left has failed. You cannot bring intellectual arguments to people who are unable or unwilling to understand them.

Look at the beliefs of the average winger. They are mere slogans. If you probe beneath the surface at all, you will, at best, get a series of platitudes about personal responsibility, incentives, etc - but no real understanding, no foundation at all for those beliefs.

We better learn the art of the three word zinger, because sadly that is what an unfortunate majority of the electorate make their decisions on.

25. Because...
"Why not simply make an educated argument against Bush Admin. policy both domestic and foreign, and why your agenda or vision of policy would be better not just for America, but for the world."

Because, to those who support Bush, it's not about logic or fact. It's about emotion and belief.

23. Nipsey Russell
many, many, decades ago, was a regular on many game shows. On one
of them (I don't know which), he was usually asked to end the show
with one of his poems. This one has stuck with we since:

After New Year's cheer
comes election year,
and the competition is going to be rough.

The politicians won't have
to lie about each other;
the truth will be bad enough.

30. all you have to do is string together his lies
Bush is his own worst enemy.

All you have to do is cut together sound byte after sound byte of him talking, telling his lies.

They add up in a rather staggering way and quickly reach a point of critical mass.
