Is blockade around Times Square tonite practice for repub convention?
Heard about this on ATC on NPR today.

Sounds like a very intense crowd control.

This is much more locked-down than the New Years right after 911. They have brought in metal detectors - from the schools :eyes: - and have the whole neighborhood blocked off.
