You gotta see what Mark Belling said today covering for Limpbag.
In the course of less than one hour, this asshole said these things.
Bush had nothing to gain personaly by going into Iraq. It was an over whelming victory for us. you could not have asked for a better outcome. Yes there are attacks against our troops numbering about one a day, but it is a small price to pay for what we accomplished.

The world now respects Bush and fears him as they should. We should go into any country when our instrests are at stake or threatened.
This is the guy who said yesterday that there should be a draft and that it would be good for the young people to serve their counrty. They should be proud to serve after seeing what we did in Iraq.

5. Don't forget Milwaukee's Bradley Foundation fostered PNAC
The money for PNAC's creation was put up by Milwaukee's own Bradley Foundation. My fellow citizens in the land of raw curds seem to pay little attention to this...

I would apologize for turning Belling loose on an unsuspecting world, but it really ain't my fault.

10. Patriot Act
I haven't been affected by the Patriot Act at all. I can't think of a single thing that I used to do that I can't do now since the Patriot Act was passed.

Of course, though, I'm not a terrorist.

13. What if the definition of "terrorist" changes?
WHat if any dissenting American is suddenly defined by the Office of Special Plans or whoever as a "terrorist?" What if you are a dark-skinned middle-easterner or a muslim who has never had a violent thought about anyone, who is nonetheless hassled by the police? What if the definition of "terrorist" sudden;y opens to include "liberals?"

Then again....I can percieve the typical republican mindset here: "It's all about me. Me, me, me." "As long as I didn't do anything wrong, I've go nothing to worry about..." Well, laws cahnge, pal. And if they change to include YOU as a terrorist, then....waddya gonna do?

16. No problem, pal
Just keep clicking those jackboot heels together, you'll be just fine.

"First they came for the Communists; I didn’t speak up, because I wasn’t a Communist. Then they came for the Jews; I didn’t speak up, because I wasn’t a Jew. Then they came for the Catholics; I didn’t speak up, because I was a Protestant. Then they came for me, and there was no one left to speak up for me." ~Rev. Martin Niemoller, 1945

20. That's the great thing about prohibiting prior restraint...
You get to anything...until you get caught.

And now you are generating a trail of records that can be reviewed to see if there is some reason to get pre-emptive.

21. Isn’t that what they used to say in Nazi Germany?
They aren’t coming for people like me so why should I worry? Your dismissal of the rapid erosion of your rights as an American is so typical that it puts you in the majority. Since you aren’t a terrorist your worst worry should be that you are accused of being one, or your child, or your spouse, since once the accusation is made due process is no longer required. The accusation alone is enough, why prove it? You are clearly willing to take the risk that an accusation alone is enough to send someone away without any contact, me I’m old fashioned, I love the America where one was innocent until proven guilty.

Your America is a very ugly place. Long live the Constitution.

23. Exactly, I have nothing to hide...let them keep passing laws until
they pass one that makes me a criminal! I mean I'm not a terrorist either...yet if they find some law to pass that makes me into one then I guess I deserve to be jailed. Yeah, that's the ticket...

24. you're real trusting, aren't you?
you're so trusting you're willing to hand power over to the police. those police/feds are real great guys--they never abuse that power or anything. they can detain you anytime they want on some technicality like a bank statement they want to know more about--a payment you made to some mortgage company or something that is now under investigation for money laundering, but that's all right with you, right? after all, you haven't done anything wrong.

25. Ah, so that's the equation
Seems like one of those rationalizations that if you do what they want you to do, if you say what they want you to say, then you don't have to worry about what they'll do to you. I think there were some Germans not too long ago with the same mindset.

Give us your address, we'll send you an almanac

9. Someone on DU ripped me a new one for listening to his show
the other day. I see I'm not the only one who listens from time to time.

You know what show a lot of liberals listen to? The Savage Nation... They call in all the time saying that they don't agree with a damn thing he says, but they listen for the entertainment value. I am one of those folks. It's the only show that has had me laughing out loud. The man is a riot! He's funnier than hell.

15. Agree Intel
I grew up in NYC and now live in Texas and I appreciate Savage's droll sense of humor. He always sounds so depressed and ready to pack it in, and it's often because of something like getting broken cookies at the grocery store or something. I laugh out loud in my car sometimes too.

14. I heard somenwhere once that
the United States can be likened to a sleeping elephant. You can do a lot around it, but wake it up and you get trampled.

I'm wondering. If the resident commander and theif gets enough nations pissed off at us, do you think that would be like awakening a sleeping giant as well?

What a proud accomplishment! And such pride to be serving in an armed forces that invaded a disarmed country doing nothing to anyone. I'm so proud.
