freepers pounding Dean's wife...over her looks
have you seen the freeper pictures? The ugliest bunch of people I've ever seen...
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1048421/posts
"Last night, Matt Drudge stated that he was tempted to divulge some news about Mrs. Howard Dean, but would leave the story for now and break it after the Holidays. He mentioned that she has yet to be seen at any public appearance for Howard Dean, and raised the question as to "Where is Mrs. Dean, and why is she staying out of sight?""
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1048421/posts

the way I read this is that drudge might say that they're separated or something similar since they're not campaigning together. Facts never prevented him before from putting the siren up.

She is a physician and a very private person. Leave her be!

And, btw, she has been at some of Howard's public appearances! But, she has chosen not to publicly campaign for her husband. Give her a break!

9. Here they go
anyone who runs against the vindictive, frat coward, will be subjected to unceasing harrassment. In this case, now, it is Judith Steinberg Dean an MD, and obviously a woman who know who she is and has intelligence and actually does like her job and her career. And now--well that is just simly too, too arrogant for a woman to have a career amd actualy prefer that to being involved in a presidential campaign.

She did appear with Dean once, wearing a nice red suit that looked good on her. And, what of the other wives? Where is Mrs. Gebhardt, or Mrs. Clark, or Mrs. Kuchinich? Where is Mrs. Lieberman--? I have not seen one of them in the spotlight/

This is an attempt to smear Judith Steinberg Dean. I hope she is made out of tough fabric--as tough as Hillary's.

This is the first FR (the first link listed...didn't look at the 2nd) thread where I actually saw some sane posters. I would say a majority (65%) said to lay off of her. There were a couple of insane posts, but for the most part, not tooooooo terrible. Mostly just nasty comments about her looks and some speculation she performed abortions. :eyes:.

I found this a little strange though.
"I don't think personal assaults on this womans looks are in order at all.

It's just plain DU like to malign the woman based on a few photos.

51. With two good reasons
First, the RW relentlessly maligned Hillary Clinton. It's payback time.

And second, Laura Bush looks like trailer park trash. A woman with an $8 haircut, makeup she bought at Piggly Wiggly and clothing cut out of upholstery fabric (or worse, polyester doubleknit) is representing our nation.

19. Although Dean has attacked Kerry's wife, this is despicable
Dean has mentioned Kerry's wife in a number of jabs about her wealth. Granted, this is only one of many reasons I completely have no respect for the guy.

Attacking anyone's wife in politics is usually left to the knuckle draggers on the Right. I like and respect Judy Dean for her position and her privacy.

28. Great Slate article about Dean attacking while he wants attacks to stop
Edited on Tue Dec-30-03 12:24 AM by zulchzulu
From the article:

But just before the availability ends, we get a flash of the old Dean, when he responds to a question about Kerry's criticism of his impending decision to turn down public financing for the campaign. Minutes after criticizing Kerry for personal attacks, Dean decides it's fair game to bring up Kerry's wife. It sounds like an implicit shot at Kerry's manhood for needing his wife's ketchup money in order to compete in New Hampshire:

"I would argue that Sen. Kerry has a very narrow place to stand on this issue, because if we opt out, we will raise money in small donations, which is exactly how campaign finance reform is supposed to work. He clearly does not have that financing capability. If he opts out, he will have a large check from himself, or his wife, to run the campaign. That's very different from what I'm talking about."

Dean of course knows that THK can't contribute to the campaign, but he just can't help himself. The little twerp.
