Really, I do. Starting with Sputnik and Laika the dog...and was it Voyager that surpassed all expectations and then exited our solar system...

I worked a temp job at RCA in E. Windsor, NJ years back and got to see a satellite being put together. It looked like a large wine bottle covered in aluminum foil....very fragile looking.
