If so, do you have a link?

1. here ya is
The Houston Business Journal reports that Cheney still receives $150,000 per year from Halliburton. Cheney doesn't deny this. His explanation is that this money is not tied to the financial performance of Halliburton. Somehow, that doesn't seem to jibe with "no financial interest in Halliburton of any kind."

3. How far we have fallen
Remember when Gore might have used the wrong telephone and for that we needed a special prosecutor?

With one party rule they can get away with anything.

5. omg
"The vice president conceded that a free press is "a vital part of society" but he added: "On occasion, it drives me nuts." What drives him nuts, he continued, is "when I see stories that are fundamentally inaccurate."

yes, it drives me nuts too, big dick :eyes:

6. If Cheney wants a charity to have the value of the Halliburtons stock,
If Cheney wants a charity to have the value of the Halliburton stock options, why hasn't he already signed them over? Why wait until 2007?

14. if I understand Helen Thomas' story correctly, it's because
they don't have value right now. An option is a promise that you can buy a stock at, say, $100 per share, whenever you choose to exercise it. But if the stock is currently trading at $90 per share, the option has no value because you can buy the stock cheaper without it.

8. Thank you for the links!
These are just what I needed to refute something I heard Sarah Janacek say on a local radio show a few weeks ago.

Those of you in Minnesota (and those of you who are not, but have read Al Franken's book) will recall that it was dear Ms Janacek who claimed that the closed captioning on the screens at the Wellstone Memorial was there to tell us when to cheer or applaud. I recently heard her claim that it was ridiculous for Democrats to try and tie Cheney to Halliburton, that he had not been an "employee" (her word) there for several years and no longer received any compensation from the company.

Ms. Janacek is one of the editors of "Politics in Minnesota", I have emailed her this links and also copied Wy Spanos (another editor and a Democrat on with the newsletter) and D.J. Leary.

Thank you, thank you thank you.

9. When he was Sec Def before, after never having had a real
job in his entire sorry life, he was made CEO of Halliburton and he managed to get them gazillions in defense contracts for years using his old friends in Washington. Now he is back in power, contracts are being funneled to Halliburton again. What do you think will happen when he gets out of office? Hey! Spellcheck does not recognize Halliburton. What up with that?
