1. Unspeakable sadness in those faces
I can only imagine how I would feel if it was one of my sons. How can any of these guys in the maladministration sleep at night? It would be hard enough if it was a just war (I am not sure there really is such a thing) but for this?

11. Hell is too good for them...

They should be made to !REALIZE! what they have done. If they ever did, they would suffer worse than in the hottest pits of Hell.

He can't even keep his promise to hug all the widows and mothers. I guess they're better off, I certainly wouldn't want that mfer anywhere near me if my loved one just got killed fighting for Haliburton and the Carlyle Group.

13. Sorry for bumping my own post. However, I couldn't help
thinking that when we put our young men and women in harm's way, it must be for a purpose that justifies their supreme sacrifice. I toured the American Cemetery in Normandy and there is something so awe inspiring about that site. And as sad as the cemetery is, it just redounds with beauty, courage, redemptive sacrifice, grace and almost any other appropriate word.

This thing in Iraq just makes me sick to my stomach.

Anyway, it seems important to me that thousands of DUers take a look at these photos. These photos have deeply troubled me and they help keep me going, doing what little I can to help oust the gangsters that occupy our government.

17. But the White House does not call
This reminds me of something I read in the following thread:

http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_topic&forum=104&topic_id=85292#85421

djg21 (the 9th reply in this thread) mentioned the death of Justin Garvey. He cited an article in the Boston Globe where they said “Yesterday, Gregg Garvey (Justin’s father) called the White House to request that President Bush call his son's wife and offer personal condolences.”

http://www.boston.com/dailyglobe2/203/metro/A_journey_of_duty_struggle_and_death+.shtml

I asked djg21 if Bush had called. This was his answer:

“My understanding is that Pat Leahy did, Kennedy did, Kerry did-- many times! No one from the Whitehouse did.”

19. And for every American funeral there are 10 Iraqi funerals
for a damned war that was totally unnecessary and avoidable.

All the fallen would be alive today were it not for the war criminals Bush and Blair!

21. Bring 'em home NOW! My precious only child is 6. That picture is just
heartbreaking. Nothing can replace what he has lost.

I'm just as glad bushit stays out of it. His concern would be a mockery of our young men and women and the sacrifice of their families. May God bless and keep them all.

I'm gonna go hug my son now--after I stop crying.

25. Few people will see these...
Bushco has done a good job santizing this war. We are not allowed to see the flag drapped coffins coming into Dover AFB. We have not seen any coverage of the funerals for serviceman killed in the war.

It seems the only dead people are Uday and Qusay.

I found these photos to be heartbreaking. I cried as a looked at them. As a mother, I can not imagine the pain of losing a son or daughter to this horrible war.

Sadly, I think this is the wake up call that Americans need. Most of the sheeple don't realize that war is not about waving flags, putting bumper stickers on your car and listening to Lee Greenwood.

My heart goes out to these families.
