Watch “Scott Ritter” dismantle this BBC reporter- regarding Iraq
The BBC reporter is obviously over matched both on facts and conviction. Scott rapid fire punches facts at the reporter leaving him intellectually beaten.

BBC News 'Hardtalk' – Iraq: Scott Ritter

An interview with Scott Ritter, discussing the latest ISG report on WMD in Iraq

2. I hate interviewers that interrupt and talk over their guests
Edited on Tue Dec-23-03 08:39 PM by vidali
this is hard to listen to. Ritter does a fine job, but the interviewer is a jerk.

Edited to say: thanks for the link!

A Scott Ritter SMACKDOWN! See why the WH silenced him prior to the war? WTG Scott! I'm glad he's finally able to speak his mind.

11. Wow! - That guy is articulate!
Best dissection of the Bush/Blair lies and propaganda I've seen. Ritter should hold a seminar in how to bitch slap a media whore spewing the administration's talking points.

14. I haven't heard any discussions of this caliber on our national(ist) media
So be it, the BBC host is a disagreeable war shill. We have more than our share of those, and few of them are as articulate and well-rounded as this guy -- hell, he even lets his guest have his say. And Scott Ritter is considered untouchable by the American press.

We can see why. He shreds the interviewer ten ways from Sunday.

23. It's the nature of the show "Hard Talk"
When they've interviewed "war shills", the interviewer will try and argue him down from a counter-viewpoint. One to look out for is the Tim Sebastian interview with Richard Perle. It's excellent to see right-wingers going crazy over being questioned, & equally satisfying to see guys like Scott Ritter holding firm for thirty minutes.

15. amazing format
one guest - 25 minutes - plenty of explanation and clarification - lots of time for in depth analysis - the complete antithesis of American 'sound-byte' 5 minute q and a's.

that was how the US media used to be - when it was free, and not a herd of steno clerks vying for access to King Bush's mighty person...

16. great interview
I think the BBC reporter was much more fair than anything you see on faux or a lot of other shows. He totally allowed Mr. Ritter to get his viewpoint across with minimal interruption. I wish American newshows were like this. I haven't even seen Mr. Ritter on any cable news shows for a while. I guess they don't want to hear him say I told you so.

20. Voted for Bush
He says in this interview that he voted for Bush because he believed his lies - that he's a compassionate conservative, wouldn't nation build, blah, blah, etc. He definitely had a "fool me once..." attitude about it.

I didn't realize the BBC had been as corrupted as CNN. The questioner is a real poodle admirer.
