Minimum 6,076 Iraq civilians killed by US occupation forces
http://www.iraqbodycount.net/bodycount.htm

This is a human security project to establish an independent and comprehensive public database of media-reported civilian deaths in Iraq resulting directly from military actions by the USA and its allies in 2003. Results and totals are continually updated and made immediately available on this page and on various IBC counters which may be freely displayed on any website, where they will be automatically updated without further intervention. Casualty figures are derived solely from a comprehensive survey of online media reports. Where these sources report differing figures, the range (a minimum and a maximum) are given. All results are independently reviewed and error-checked by at least three members of the Iraq Body Count project team before publication. (More...)

1. double the Twin Towers disaster!
Edited on Mon Jul-28-03 07:31 PM by twilight
and I wonder how many thousands more will die because of this 'war'? I wonder if this is even an accurate # given all of the lies we have been told?

I am very sad for all of those that have senselessly died in this
blood for oil campaign.

When will the # be high enough? Perhaps when the # of dead soldiers from America exceeds 8,000+?

How very sad indeed. :(

2. do not forget to add to this number the hundreds of thousands
dead as a result of the US-imposed, UN-backed sanctions on Iraq

3. and who do you think started the sanctions?
None other than the 'Big Dog' aka Clinton.

What a mob IMO.

4. I'm not sure I agree with the finger of blame pointed at the US.
Didn't you see all those palaces Saddam built for himself? Saddam had PLENTY of money to buy medicine and food for his people. The greedy bastard kept it for himself and his Baathist cronies and then blamed the US for starving Iraqi's. I don't blame the US. Everyone on the planet knew he had WMD after the first gulf war and all he had to do to get the sanctions lifted was to get rid of them and prove he got rid of them.

5. yup, BushSr & Rumsfeld have the WMD receipts
Reagan shipped them to Saddam.

Rumsfeld went over to shake Saddam's hand.

Reagan still was doing 'arms shipments' to Saddam,
AFTER Saddam was reported to have gassed the Iranians & Kurds.
Sold the US attack helicopters to Saddam.

Dont forget, OUR US military GAVE Saddam the coordinates
to gas the Iranians.

Cheney was still doing oil business with Saddam as late as
2000 as CEO of Haliburton. Over $73 Million as reporeted
in NYT and other news agencies.
