Did you guys know this is the #1 democratic message board on the net.

And the traffic ranking is #4,822 out of every website on the net that gets ranked.

oreilly-sucks.com is ranked 235,441, which aint bad for a personal website.

There are some other democratic message boards on the net but DU.com is #1 by far.

1. Wow, that's awesome.

My biggest website is ranked 116,000, and I'm hoping the traffic doubles when I finish revising it. But making it into the top 5,000 would be a real challenge.

I wonder how much Democratic Underground earns from donations, their Store, etc. I hope it's a lot, because that would encourage others to bash George Bush for profit (or at least compensation). I suspect Bush-bashing will become a multi-million industry during Campaign 2004!

2. There's one little tricky thing about alexa.

Sometimes you have to refresh the home page a few times to get the option for looking up the traffic ranking of a website. (upper right corner)

I wonder how useful their rankings really are. I mean, DU's traffic might be even higher than what Alexa claims.

6. I'd like to get the data on the entire political landscape

Who's out there (Reublicans?Indies/Democrats) and where are browsers going? Not just webhits, but content...ie, page requests.

I know FR seems to be significantly larger, but I suspect that we have more overall readers coming to DU to get their news and read opinion than travel to FR to do the same.
