"250,000 newly imported cars cause some of fuel shortage in Iraq? Carmax?
At the end of the story about the Iraqi pipeline Sabotage yesterday is this gem. Are we selling or giving cars from Carmax to the Iraqi's? Where did all these cars come from in such a short time? What??? Are our tax dollars responsible for this, too?

The Oil Ministry introduced rationing on Thursday to overcome shortages
that have created mile-long lines of cars at gas stations and waits up to
12 hours. At the same time the U.S. military began to crack down on
black marketeers who sell gas for as much as $1.85 a gallon. The official
price equates to 5 U.S. cents a gallon.

Multiple causes have created the shortages, including sabotage and
difficulties restoring crude oil supplies from war-damaged and antiquated
refineries. In addition an estimated 250,000 newly imported cars, most
secondhand, that have entered the country since Saddam Hussein
(news - web sites) was ousted.

2. That is very interesting. Who are the corp bringing them in.......
And who can buy them? I my self can not buy a used car and do pay tax. I would be some what up tight to find DOD or US govt. is paying for them.Yet the money is really going to some US corp that of course is not paying its tax.
