Get rid our A-bombs, our chemical and biological weapons?
I seemed to have missed that part of Bush's "better world" statement hailing Libya for getting rid of its WMDs.

4. Certainly our chemical and biological weapons, yes
I can't think of any strategical reason for their existance. Except as they have been used till now. You know, as a weapon to be exported to places like Iraq so that Saddam Hussien could have them at his disposal. And remember the Anthrax from the Anthrax scare came from America. The more germs and viruses you produce the greater the chance they'll fall into the wrong hands. Simple probability there.
But my larger point is that we have to at least acknowledge that we have them, since we are, in fact, probably the world's greatest possessor of WMDs. Instead of finger-pointing and telling other countries you're evil for having WMDs, make it clear to them that they don't want the responsibility that comes with such weapons. That such responsibilities diminish the soul of a nation and exposes them to things like Anthrax scares.

2. Exactly! In his speech some time ago, he said "Free societies do not
possess WMDs" and also "Free societies provide health care for all their citizens."
Gee, either we are not a free society (but then we knew that, didn't we?) or Shrub has some plans of which he has not told us!

5. Do you mean the USA that is the only nation to have ever used
nuclear weapons? The same one that has the most of them? The one that used Agent Orange in Vietnam?

Oh, that USA. The peaceloving, protector of democracy, upholder of equality, and has a "compassionate conservative" for president.

Don't hold your breath - unless you live near one of the biological or chemical weapons dumps that dot the land of the free.

7. The U.S. indeed used nukes
To end a war started by several fascist powers that brutalized their way across the globe.

6. When some scientist devises a machine capable of killing all
Americans simultaneously. THAT would be a factor in negotiations. Without it, never. And of course we'll probably build something which could kill all non-Americans first.
