"This Is What Democracy Looks Like"
This documentary on the anti-WTO alliance as manifested in Seattle in 1999 is being replayed on FSTV over the next day. Times here:

If haven't seen this and weren't there, you really don't know anything about it. Teamsters, turtles, troubadors and truthtellers together facing the faceless force of fascism. It was one of many manifestations of the kind of alliance and the kind of spirit that CAN win - the only one - no matter who the Dem candidate turns out to be.

Watch this if you can, buy it if you can't:

3. WTO Seattle isn't the best role model
I'd characterize the protest itself as a smashing success. But few people are aware of the extraordinary manipulation that went on the scenes, the bad guys including the Church Council of Greater Seattle and the Seattle Education Association (teachers union). The real shocker came after the protest - NOTHING. I thought the protesters would continue the momentum, using it to get some good candidates elected to public office. That thought was cancelled due to lack of interest.
