911 Bush Knew ....3 confrontations in one car trip
Edited on Fri Dec-19-03 12:09 PM by proud patriot
3 confrontations in one car trip

As many of you know , I'm on the front lines
with my Bumpstickers and Yard Signs . well
recently after Bomb Iran was written on my car
with window chalk I decided window chalk would be
great to use on my car too . So yesterday I wrote
"911 Bush Knew" on three windows of my car .

My husband son and I were driving out to pick up my husbands
new truck (new to us) when I noticed a car behind me tail
gating . I was in the fast lane traveling the same speed
as the cars in front of me in heavy traffic. well this fellow
must not of liked what he saw on my car cause he was then
determined to flip us off and pass us .

he was right next to us and tried to give my 6 foot
210lb linebacker of a husband the evil eye , but when
my husband turned to meet him eye to eye proudly this
bozo eyes fell . He had to fall back in his lane and
was otherwise driving stupidly . So the next time we
are next to each other My son and Husband flash him
peace signs with big ol smiles on their faces ,Bozo was
simulating Masterbation .. we had to turn not far after
that . I drop my husband off and head back home with my
son who needed a potty stop pretty quickly .

We pull into a Denny's so my son can relieve himself .
While standing outside the restroom waiting I noticed
a soldier sitting alone eating in fatigues . While
exiting Denny's I thanked the soldier he seemed surprised
so I said " I thank you for being a soldier" he said
"your welcome" so we headed out to the car. I saw group of
3 who looked like bikers to me, standing around my
car . I take a deep breathe and held my head high and
said "I've got to support the Constitution" as I approached
my car . "I agree with everything you have here" came out
of the big guys mouth so we talked a little bit . They
had questions about 911 , I gave them some starting points
to research, we wished each other well and went our way .

We are almost home, coming to a stop passing a car and
this bozo #2 yells out of his car at my son and I
"You're retarded" ... I don't even give this one
the satifaction of yelling back he was about 4 cars back .
I not crazy but had I been stopped right next to him
I would of gotten Patriotic on him .

Woo Hoo ... I haven't had so much feedback in a long time .
when I wrote "Bush Lied How many Died ?" nothing repukes silent .

well "911 Bush Knew" Really gets under their skin

everything else on my car Supports the Constitution and the Troops

Hazaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa !

22. Talk about childish!
"I hope she lives far away from me."why so fearful? without open dissent, we in this country would be singing "God save the Queen" today! I don't believe for a second that you support the message, otherwise you wouldn't have posted what you did. The message frightens many people, because the whole notion of "those in charge" being unwilling or unable to protect them is too disturbing. Some need their illusions more than the truth to feel safe from the boogyman at night, but the only way to actually aquire sercurity in this case is to face the truth and all the ugliness that comes with it.

53. Wrong. I know Bush knew
I was saying that weeks after 9/11. I place absolutely zero faith in anything about this corrupt system.

I posted what I did because she sounded like a 16 year old driving around town trowing water balloons out the window or something. Progressives should be better than that.

13. Umm, not sure that I understand your post
please clarify. Do you mean that having political and provocative messages on the windows is childish and ridiculous? I respectfully disagree with that, if that is your intention. One need only to look around to see the opposite end of the continuum to see that RWers are not hesitating to decorate their vehicles with all kinds of obnoxious sheep dip. Should we be silent about our beliefs?

57. If it were up to me, there'd be no censorship at DU
You'd all be surprised at how our thinking would evolve if we were able to truly express ourselves here. We all have blind-sides, and we all benefit (in the long-run) when someone calls us on it.

I think all the censorship here leads to an intellectually stale environment. I'm not growing by spending time here. It's comfortable, sure, but so is church.

30. I resisted bumper stickers for so long
Edited on Fri Dec-19-03 01:08 PM by adriennel
but now that my car is getting older and dumpier I've been adding stickers like crazy. I try to balance them though; Red Wings logo, typical hippie sun/moon sticker, the M, and "Bush Lies, People Die".
I get a lot of looks, but no one has specifically spoken to me about it.

I was kind of pissed off once. Every year we buy our Christmas tree from the local Lions association, because we like to support local organizations. This year, as they loaded the tree into the back of my truck, they saw my "Bush Lies" sticker, and from that point on, they were down right rude and dismissive of me. I did not think this was fair, it is not like I initiated a debate. I have to right to express myself through non-verbal methods and you have a right to ignore me. But we won't be buying our Christmas tree from the Dexter Lions next year!

yeah, he responded by going to Crawford for a MONTH, while silently telling Ashcrofy not to fly commercial

Sorry bub, you wanna get after Clinton for not doing something about the Cole, 2 months before he left office, then you have to hold Bush to the SAME STANDARD. Clinton had 2 months to respond to the Cole, while Bush had NINE!

48. Better get your facts straight, Thrak.
The lies about Clinton not taking bin Laden from Sudan, debunked here by no less than the Washington Moonie Times (hardly a liberal bastion). Here’s a snip:

No one should believe these allegations by Mr. Miniter's source, Fateh Erwa — a Sudanese intelligence officer known for his penchant to deceive — that there was an offer to hand bin Laden over to the United States. Certainly, no offer was ever conveyed to any senior official in Washington. Had the Sudanese been serious about offering bin Laden to the United States, they could have communicated such an offer to any number of senior Clinton administration officials. It did not happen.

Mr. Miniter also claims that Sudan repeatedly tried to provide voluminous intelligence files on bin Laden to the CIA, the FBI, and senior Clinton administration officials and would be "repeatedly rebuffed through both formal and informal channels." Absurd. In fact, it was precisely the other way around.

On multiple occasions, and in venues ranging from Addis Ababa to Virginia, Washington, New York and Khartoum, the United States aggressively pressed the Sudanese to prove their alleged commitment to cooperating on terrorism, by severing their close ties with known terrorists, arresting specific individuals and providing specific intelligence information to us. Yet, despite frequent promises of cooperation, presumably in the hopes of getting off the terrorism list and out from under U.N. sanctions, the Sudanese consistently failed to deliver.

"One such CIA briefing, in July 2001, was particularly chilling and prophetic. He calls it "an attack that will change the world." After a month of badgering his prison guards, he is finally able to call the White House 14 times in the days before the attack. He then tries to send a fax to Bush, but is denied permission hours before the 9/11 attacks. German police later confirm the calls. Prosecutors later say Ali had no foreknowledge and his forebodings were just a strange coincidence. They say he is mentally unstable. Similar warnings also come from a Moroccan man being held in a Brazilian jail. Deutsche Presse-Agentur, 9/13/01, Ottawa Citizen, 9/17/01, Sunday Herald, 9/16/01

And then there's David Schippers, former Chief Investigative Counsel for the US House Judiciary Committee and head prosecutor responsible for conducting the Clinton impeachment:

Schippers received information from "impeccable" US intelligence sources, including FBI agents, that a massive attack was being planned by terrorists targeting the financial district of lower Manhattan. (He went public with this two days after the attack in an interview with WRRK in Pittsburgh.) He said he had tried warning Ashcroft and other officials six weeks before the attacks.

"According to Schippers, these agents knew, months before the attacks, the names of the hijackers, the targets of their attacks, the proposed dates, and the sources of their funding, along with other information. At least two weeks prior to 11th September, the FBI agents again confirmed that an attack on lower Manhattan, orchestrated by Osama bin Laden, was imminent. However, the FBI command cut short their investigations into the impending terrorist attacks and those involved, threatening the agents with prosecution under the National Security Act if they publicised information pertaining to their investigations.

"The agents subsequently sought the council of David Schippers in order to pressure elements in the US government to take action to prevent the attacks. Schippers warned many Congressmen and Senators, and also attempted to contact US Attorney General John Ashcroft without success, managing only to explain the situation to a lower-ranking Justice Dept. official who promised a return call from Ashcroft the next day. The Attorney General did not return the call despite the gravity of the situation. Schippers is now legally representing one FBI agent in a suit against the US government in an attempt to subpoena their testimony, so that he can legally speak about the blocked investigation on public record." (From Ahmed, The War on Freedom, pg 107)

FBI Special Agent Robert Wright "…an active FBI Special Agent filed a complaint last week concerning FBI/Justice Department interference in and mishandling of terrorist investigations. The FBI Special Agent, who wishes to remain anonymous at this time, alleges that he was retaliated against when he continued to push for and pursue certain terrorist investigations over the objections of his FBI and Justice Department supervisors." Judicial Watch Press Release, Nov 14 2001.

"On Sept. 10, NEWSWEEK has learned, a group of top Pentagon officials suddenly cancelled travel plans for the next morning, apparently because of security concerns."
Newsweek, Sept 13, 2001

61. He blames "Frank Church"
You know this is right wing talking points. Blame Clinton, sure, but to blame a true American hero like Church for "preventing FBI and CIA from sharing info" proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that this troll not only hates America, but specifically our Constitution as well.

I hope I'm not breaking any rules, but this (argument) is Freeper trash.

39. You're brave
Your courage is inspirational. I'm somewhat ashamed to admit that I'm too chicken to put anything on my car. I'm in California, which people might think is the perfect place to place an anti-repuke sticker. But the area I live in is closer to Alabama than L.A. I'm almost positive that either my car or myself would suffer from some violent act if I placed anything anti-* on my car :-(

44. How I wish that people could feel free to make these statements....
but I honestly feel it is too risky - especially with children in the picture.
It's a great lesson if all goes well in standing up for what one believes, but I'm afraid that the possibility of something really ugly, violent happening would make me chose safety for my family over activism.

I was in therapy in the 70s with a woman whose father had been executed by the Germans here in The Hague - he had been active in the Dutch resistance. This woman's personal experience - the trauma of losing her Dad in that manner (along with anger that he had risked this!) - made me look at these things in a different light.

:-(

You remind me of myself. I have signs denouncing Dr Evil Bush on my front windows of my home. Signs in the yard, bumperstickers on my car. Oh I get some looks but Im a 230 lb nose guard also so they usually dont last too long.
