LINK TV Begins Important New Series Tonight at 10 p.m. EST

The series is called "People's Voice: 2004 Election" and will feature each of the Democratic candidates in turn.

LINK TV (formerly called WORLD LINK TV) is "television without borders" and it's wonderful -- try to get it if you can.

I'm really psyched up because tonight's show features Dennis Kucinich, but I looke forward to seeing each of the candidates in his or her turn.

Hope this can be allowed in GD for information purposes.

Will Presidential Candidate Dennis Kucinich call for the
impeachment of President Bush for lying about Iraq? As

TV’s new election series — THE PEOPLE'S VOICE: ELECTION 2004
— featuring questions from the nation’s leading citizen’s

3. Isn't it?! I am so glad they are doing this -- an entire hour per

candidate is promised but my program guide shows it lasting from 10 to 11:30 so maybe there will be an hour and a half -- or an hour and fifteen minutes plus fifteen minutes of world music! I love how they segue into world music all the time.

6. You have to have Direct TV -- it's a satellite system -- BUT

you can download the transcript at

http://www.worldlinktv.com

According to text onscreen at the end of the interview, you can watch the interview there, too, but I can't find it so far.

Also, the LINK TV host just said the transcript will be at Salon.com.

You might find the LINK TV site interesting even if you can't get the channel.
Here's the link to download "Mosaic" videos:

http://www.worldlinktv.com/mosaic/streamsArchive/index.php4

"Mosaic" is a collage (montage? perhaps videomontage?) of news programs from various Middle Eastern countries. It's very interesting to see news reported from Middle Eastern perspectives AND to see news not shown in the U.S. Just the way Iranian newcasters begin their broadcast -- I believe the phrase is "In the name of God the merciful and compassionate" -- made me understand the pervasiveness and importance of Islamic in Iran. Surprisingly, Iranian women anchors appear without a head covering, though, which is not the case for all stations from Muslim countries.

ALSO, if you have an adventurous ear, you might listen to world music:

http://news.linktvstore.org/world/linktvstore

You can listen to samples for free and there's a free compilation to download, plus 99 cents downloads, and more. Looks as if they're beginning to make music videos available, too.
