Is it just me, or is this just crazy?

Bush wants to reduce the deficit to "only" 250 BILLION dollars by 2009?!

He goes in with a 200+ billion dollar surplus, in three years racks up nearly a trillion dollars in extra debt from deficit spending, and then says if he's re-elected he'll crunch the deficit he created to only one of the largest in modern history. . . IN FIVE MORE FREAKIN' YEARS!

Why the media hasn't bothered to pick up on the fact that chimp has been promising a return to budget surpluses in a year or two, and then says they can maybe make things only half as bad as they are now in five years is beyond me. If they were truly bought and paid for, then why cover the story at all?

The Busheviks have taken what admittedly was a bad idea of Political Correctness, and turned it into the definition of Political Correctness used by the SOVIETS!

3. The problem is that nobody understand the Deficit

I mean it sounds bad and all, and we've all been told it's bad, but it's hard to work up proper fear for something you don't understand. We need more education on how a big deficit affects interest rates, and why Clinton's plan to lower the deficit, despite catcalls from both the left and the right, turned out to be good economic sense.

4. Bush* Deficit = Bush* Tax

This is the equivilent to a huge tax increase to America in interest payments alone. Not even mentioning what it is doing to our financial standing through-out the world. The dollar is dropping in value for a reason.
