What was the name of the book that outed Matt Drudge?
I read in a thread a couple of days ago that spoke of a book wherein the author outed Matt Drudge (Drudge Report). There was no retraction and no complaint from Drudge. Anyone know which book I am talking about?

2. In the paperback edition...
...Brock has a new foreward. I had already read the hardcover so when I saw it at Borders, I flipped through. Basically, Brock counters the right wing attacks and states that no one has stepped forward to disprove anything he has said in the book. He mentions the Drudge rumor as an example where Drudge denied it, but Brock simply forwarded Drudges "love" email to a gossip reporter who had asked for it, but then refused to print it since he was only looking to corner Brock on what he thought was a lie.

4. The gossip hag at MSNBC (I forget her name) actually
outed Drudge a couple of years of years before Brock. Can't remember the title of her book, either.
Jeffrey Toobin also subtly outed Drudge in his book dealing with the Clinton witchhunt (my first indication that Matt had more in common with Hedda Hopper than Walter Winchell)

8. Yes, Jeannette Walls is on msnbc.com, and actually...
Edited on Sun Jul-06-03 10:09 PM by mark0rama
...it's a pretty funny story.

Drudge, fearing that Walls' book would not only report that he's gay, but has a bizarre fetish, preemptively outed himself (in a manner of speaking) on his own site. Read it here:

http://archive.salon.com/people/col/reit/2000/03/08/npwed/print.html

On edit: Pardon my vagueness - I meant yes, Walls is MSNBC's gossiper. I don't know if she has a connection to Page Six.

On edit yet again: Woo hoo, we can edit the subject line now!
