Not to mention, a plastic surgery disaster and media whore numero uno! I'm quite surprised to see her giving airtime to Wes.

3. Paula von Zahn
Takes snide to a whole new level. She's been known to snarl at Clark for entire interviews. I'll watch because of Clark, but after her display of pleasure with "shock and awe" I try never to tune in.

Does anyone remember her interview with Michael Moore? He quipped that he had used the antibacterial soap that was provided in the green room before he shook hands with her. Apparently, that's her rule. OCD von Zahn did not contradict him, just snarled and kept going.

7. I think the way he'll handle her will be even better
He'll deal with her in some fashion that I bet will make her feel REALLY stupid, but somehow without being overtly insulting or hostile. That should be fun to watch, someone tell me how it goes, I can't see CNN from where I'm stuck at all day.

Zahn just announced Saddam was found "in a hole, some would say

Journalistic ethics?

:puke:

Oh, now they're describing how they're going to break Saddam
in non-stop interrogations. Not "torture," just make him
"very uncomfortable" for very long. Make him stand for
sustained periods, keep him in a tiny space, water may be involved,...

Unbelievable.

But they gave his initial remark wildly out of context.
It didn't match the shill's intro.
So I don't trust her version of Clark's thoughts.

And all of his remarks were trunkated practically in mid-syllable.
All in response to the shill propaganda set up "questions."

That was truly hidous thanks to CNN.

I would like to hear what he really said.

But I loved his comment that (rather than give Bush credit
for Saddam's capture), he would hold Bush accountable.

Wes answered the question well...

I would have focused on the War on Terror, Saddam Hussein was a secondary issue, would have worked that through the UN.

Paula: You have credited the troops, does the President deserve credit for getting Sadaam?

Wes: Well they certainly need to be held accountable since they took us into Iraq, need to judge costs vs benefit.

O.K. Hasn't Liebermans biggest beef with Clark been that he was for the war, but now that he's running he says he's against it? The interview was heavily edited. I wouldn't be surprised if it was a ten minute interview and Paula's henchmen edited it down to the two "juiciest" minutes.

Is it just me or does Paula hate America? She seems to give nobody the benefit of the doubt except for the Bush administration, and attacks anybody with an opposing view.

My new name for her next show (presumably on Fox, when CNN fires her for stealing money for another disasterous plastic surgery): PropaZahnda.

what he ACTUALLY said about the death penalty. WHY did she use that statement in her pre-view? To make the shrub's case for the death penalty for Saddam. Safety in numbers. The more people who say he should get the death penalty, the better the shrub will look when he announces that THAT is exactly what he wants. The guy from the state of Texas.....most death penalties per year. Of course the shrub will call for the death penalty and she was just helping him by saying Clark was FOR it. I would really like to know what he actually said. :grr:

67. Well they would rather have him dead than talking about how Bush 1
gave him weapons. I think it is interesting that they are pushing the death penalty angle.

65. I'm happy for Wesley Clark
Edited on Mon Dec-15-03 09:59 PM by Donna Zen
He's with friends, he gave a great speech today, he's been hanging with Solonas and Jamie Rubin, out to dinner with non attackers, and best of all out of the country! Friendly territory.

The lead question had nothing to do with the answer. An obvious edit...never, never trust the Zahn. Notice that when the interview began only the tip of his nose was red, but by the end he nearly had frost bite. Two minutes--more likely 20. Yep, the best bits are only a memory on the bottom of Paula's three inch heels.

68. I think that at the time of the initial interview, Saddam had not been..
captured and CNN had an "exclusive" interview with General Clark. Because Saddam was captured and Clark had been interviewed quite extensively, there was no longer an exclusive and the full interview wasn't relevant to the current "news". It is pretty bad that instead of doing a live interview they chose to cut and paste to try and salvage something given their previous advertising.

70. Unfortunately, a candidate can't put themselves in the hands of media
Whore editors. Unfortunately, that describes most of the media.

Gee, if he's such a bad guy why do CNN, Tim Russert, et al
need to constantly take his partial remarks out of context?
