Does the capture, re-energizes Clark or Kerry
campaigns? One of the nine will definitely get a boost out of the capture and one of the candidates will be hurt by the capture.
Maybe we need to re-think our choices that we have made and find someone who can beat Bush on all fronts.

2. bad for Clark, Dean, Kucinich, Braun, Sharpton
Great for Edwards, good for Kerry, Lieberman and Gep.

Best for Edwards as it never was the albatros that it became for Kerry and he has never gotten into the infighting as the others did.

3. interesting concept
so you do not think that it is too late to help Edwards in a substantial way?

4. Sadly, anything is too late for Edwards...The capture best helps Clark.
Edwards is done for I fear, he's barely above the level of Kucinich/Braun/Sharpton and he seems to be going nowhere fast. Nothing short of Jesus himself endorsing the man will move his campaign forward, he's just had a lot of bad luck and no real great press. Other candidates will usurp the "capture" and take over the media spotlight.

Clark got a huge boost, I've reconsidered him after his thoughtful comments today. Now I'm back to undecided on my primary vote.

6. I guess time will tell
I can't see this as anything other than a huge negative for Clark. I was unimpressed with his statement released today. Compare to Edwards, perhape you'll see what can be done with an opportunity such as than.

Saying nothing more than 'attaboy' is hadrly a stretch.

7. What? Clark stated that Saddam should be tried at the Hauge.
That's huge, and it sets him apart from the rest of the candidates. Not to mention, it's the appropriate step to take with the tyrrant. Clark can nail Bush on everything that will go wrong with the trial, the aftermath and the continuing fight in Iraq. The rest of the Dems seem happy to let Bush try him in Iraq with a Kangaroo Court and protect Raygun and Poppy. But then again, when did these Washington Dems meaningfully come out against Bush's demands in the last two years...?

12. I agree
and he is an outsider. Also he is the only one who has a chance to get southern votes that everyone is worried about and the African Americans will come on board now with Rangel endorsing him. If he gets Maxine Waters he could have the Black vote locked up. The Black vote with the combination of the white southern male equals winning the nomination.
He is the only one with the goods after today. If not for his slow start Edwards would be where Clark is right not. I just hope that Clark doesn't blow it!

5. not in the least
Clinton also looked dead at this point and with simliar numbers. A lot can happen in 6 weeks and I've been seeing lots of precursors for a while. And this capture is wonderful for Iraq and an unexpected boon for Edwards.

Oh no, I'm pumped !

I honestly don't see how the capture changes the campaigns much. Except now its clear that its time to bring our troops home now!

10. The capture of Saddam...
and the "what do we do now" talk about the situation makes the case for Clarks "* has no success strategy". It seems like it was blind luck that they found him. Now they seem confused about what to do with him. It is even more evident that they have no plan. IMO this gives Clark a boost.
