anybody watch this Bremer "we got him" video?
another carefully planned event. Bremer says "we got him", the Iraqi team gets its cue (i'm suspecting it's Chalabi's inner circle)and start hooting and hollering. Everybody else just sits quietly, some politely clapping.

and bremer looked so upset, didn't even crack a smile

1. I saw it as well
it was a totally plastic and fake situation. Every thing these fools do is pre-arranged.

2. Yup....
and these are the sorts of things that makes one wonder what the
real story is...
Folks, this is a setup. Pure and simple.

5. Saw it, too
When I saw it on TV it made me nauseous because Bremer was so emotional about the capture. His eyes welled up like this was a meaningful moment.

We know what's really a big deal to Bremer: being able to sit in Saddam's palaces and smoke his cigars and drink his Scotch.

6. yep
(i'm suspecting it's Chalabi's inner circle)

It defintiely was Chalabi's goons, the same people who were behind the statue tumbling. Just one more media stunt, brought to you by Chalabi studios, inc.

7. What I saw was a woman soldier going to the Iraqis there
and seemingly tellimg them to sit down. A "fixed" demonstration wouldn't need that.

Look if even Howard Dean ( and I am no Deanie ) can admit this was a good thing, why can't you ? And how is it so difficult to understand the Iraqi reaction to the elimination of ANY possibility of Saddam returning to power.

Doesn't seem to me this was a day that needed stage-management.

8. I would've preferred...
"Well, we propped him up for 12 years, made excuses when he gassed the Kurds and only turned on him when he got too close to Saudi oil, but...we got him."

Those bums up front reminded me of the Kuwaiti ambasssador's daughter/faux atrocity witness.
