MSNBC posts video of Dean's response to capture; other candidates ignored
Apparently it's still going to be All Dean, All The Time, or at least it will be as far as MSNBC is concerned.

If anyone knows of how the other news outlets are treating this, please chime in.

1. Well I saw Clark interviewed on MSNBC
and twice on CNN.

MSNBC also ran quotes by other Democrats "attacking" Howard Dean.

So don't be so sensitive.

8. I suggest you look at that link. The videos on it are, in order,
Saddam's capture; Dean's response; Bush's announcement, and then some other stuff, including another video of the usual 'Dean picks up steam' variety (by this point, he's picked up so much steam that I'm surprised he doesn't explode). Dean's response is actually in a more prominent position that Bush's announcement of the capture. It's a little bit different from interviewing someone, although an interview is at least exposure. Dean also got interviewed; it's just that his interview is now permanently posted where everyone will see it -- a luxury the other candidates are denied.

I'm sure this is somehow evidence of how terrified the 'corporate media' are of the corporate avenger, Howard Dean.

It's the only thing I can guess. It worked fine for me both when I first clicked through, and when I previewed before posting.

Om edit, it worked fine for me again. Dunno what the problem you were having is.

9. "other candidates ignored"

Well there are perks to being #1....

I am a Kerry supporter, but truth be
told his campaign has been inferior
to Dean's. Even I am not paying a
lot of attention to anyone but Dean
now.

13. The chicken and the egg.

Quite frankly, I can't say much about Kerry's campaign, because the only time I hear about it is in comparison to Dean's, and that's just to say how well Dean is doing, how poorly Kerry is doing. This has been going on for months, mind you. So is a campaign good because it gets a lot of media coverage, or does it get a lot of media coverage because it's good? I don't know. After watching this campaign and Clinton in '92, I tend towards the former: Clinton did nothing spectacular in '91-92, yet the media attached themselves to him and essentially ended the race. The same thing is happening here.

Ultimately, it's the reponsibility of journalists, and by extension, news gathering organizations, to report the news; I am really beginning to feel that, with regards to political reporting, they aren't really doing that so much as they are shaping the news. Kerry had to swear in that Rolling Stone interview, for example, to get anyone to pay attention to him; by comparison, I can go to almost any news outlet and get my choice of fluffy 'Dean is picking up steam' stories. It's been that way for at least 6 weeks or so.

11. Clark should have stood up for DK, CMB, and Sharpton
First, the media ignored the left, but I didn't say anything because I was a centrist...
