8. You can't plead your way past Dean...
Edited on Sat Dec-13-03 10:33 PM by Patriot_Spear
I like Clark- but I'm backing Dean. Howard is clicking on all cylanders and Wesley just doesn't inspire me in the same way. If Clark can't beat Dean in a primary, how on earth do you think he could win the election?

In any event, I'm ABB- so good luck to your candidate; however we Deaniac's are not taking any chances or prisoners in this primary season.

one person's "propaganda" is another person's honest opinion.

Flame the guy for being rude, but don't think that there aren't Democrats who share the opinion.

14. It's propaganda.
Edited on Sat Dec-13-03 10:42 PM by Patriot_Spear
'Please vote for Wes- he really can win'. Give me a break- what's honest about that? Clark wants to win? Then let him fight guys like me in the primary- I'm working my ass off for Dean.

And then let the voters decide. However, some people aren't real happy how the voters are leaning right now- hence these 'Dean can't win' posts.

They're bullshit- plain and simple.

17. No danger of that.
Edited on Sat Dec-13-03 10:49 PM by liberalmuse
I see it plastered all over DU. Still...I'd like to see one iota of truth that would back this statement up: 'Bush is going to wipe the floor with him.' IMHO, that is a lie, and I'm not even sure someone who is anti-Bush would make such a self-defeating statement. At least, I hope not!

7. 99% ultra-liberal, 1% freeper.not
bartcop is not a ultra Lib and neither are his readers. It would be accurate if you would call his leaders Progressive . Baetcop disagrees with alot of far leftist policy and from reading some of his email he publishes, its pretty apparent so does his audience.

15. I love Bartcop...
and posted that in light-hearted fun. I'm an ultra-liberal subscriber to his site and didn't mean to offend anyone. Also, I find nothing objectionable with the term 'ultra-liberal', and don't like using the apologist term, 'progressive'.

18. Progressive is not....
.. by any means, a term employed as an apology.

It is taking control of our own nomenclature since the term "liberal" has been effectively co-opted and defined, most unfortunately, by our opponents the conservatives, as a highly negative term.

Besides, by inference, what's the opposite of a progressive?

A Regressive. Which, by implication, defines them just fine.

-A Proud Progressive who will continue to embrace the label and do his best to see it spread far and wide, thank you very much.
