questions about 527 organizations…
am I correct to understand that they can air ads attacking a candidate by name, but not ads praising a canddate by name?

if so, how is this not a violation of the first amendment?

If an organization wants to advocate voting for a candidate in tv ads, it can collect money in small amounts for those ads.
