DOW 10,000+ thread got copied on WSJ best of the web today! BUSTED!!
AS I noted when I read that post, the right wingers love this crap to advance their agenda. Us hoping bad things will happen in this Country does not make us look like the party anyone would want to vote for. Yesterday's thread which was titled "DOW 10000+" was racked off the G.D. and put on this website to bash us.

http://www.opinionjournal.com/best/

So who cares? Well if you don't your missing the point!! Who do you think we will win over like this?:grr:

4. Its a growing problem here.
And not just the economey eather. With Dean being the front runner now, the GD is not being flooded with anti-dean spam of the worst order.

The mods are going to have to crack down soon. I know a lot of us never wanted to see a replay of 2002 when there was a Green & nedigite dem post black out. But lets face it, the DU is being spammed, and a new blackout may be necisary, even before the primaries gets started.

9. Anyone can play that game. Have a Left-leaning paper lift a thread
from Free Republic and let America see why things are as screwed up and twisted as they are.

This is effing hilarious. The right is TRULY desperate.

They're lucky, too. Imagine what one could post about "Republicans" if one were to cruise through the cesspool that is FreeRepublic.com?

LMAO!

They are truly scared, folks. Minor problem: frightened helpless animals when cornered tend to become vicious.

The best response to this is to contact a liberal publication and ask them if they wouldn't mind runnign a counter-ad... 'Best of the Web', only to slander Republicans instead of Democrats.

This is fantastic.

Tickled pink, I am.

12. The truly ironic thing is that I felt that leftyandproud was
an undercover disrupter. The tone of his post was suspect. And he claimed we needed to find a way to take credit for the recovery. All through the thread he defended Bush and his propaganda every chance he got.

What a joke.

14. I saw you in that thread
you tried to keep the idiocy at bay. The bottom line is that it makes DU look bad. I've seen Skinner get pretty jawed about things like this. I'm surprised that people don't care if everyone thinks they are mad that the economy is improving. It dosn't look good for DU at all.

13. ""..hoping bad things will happen...""???
Where does it say 'we' hope bad things will happen?
Nowhere but in your headline.....

Taranto is angry at Dems. Hell, he hates Dems.
I don't know why you'd waste your time reading his crapolla.
One question about him: Why does he hate us Americans?

I thought the piece from Leftandproud(?) was cool. It wasn't very factual tho. 401Ks up 40% this year? I wish.

Out of all the good posts on DU, this one-sided plagarite, Tartano, can only find one post that he can twist to make fit into his lopsided column?
We're doing pretty good, don't you worry.

I rem reading through that thread...
http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=104&topic_id=881101&mesg_id=881101

Most of the rebuttle comments were pretty informed and disputed the poster's contentions...
Why didn't the WSJ quote some of that stuff...

....Lefty and Proud is Taranto himself. Why should we think that a biased partisan hack like Taranto wouldn't plant posts so that he could write about them?

Typical gutterball politics, IMO.

20. What's your point rumguy?
I wonder what your motive is trying to suppress it. I make the valid point that I'm trying to keep our party from looking like a bunch of whackos. That kind of posting is a fringe element at best. And this kind of coverage doesn't help shed a positive light on the message we are trying to get out. That's the purpose of me reposting it.

I have to wonder what your up to suspect people who are trying to salvage our party. Are you the one who would encourage these threads hoping to disrupt our party further? hmmmmm???

19. This kind of hoping that the sky will fall in will only....
...lead to more freepers. I'm sure skinner is going to have to spend another week weeding them out. Their isn't much "underground" to this forum any more if what we write gets splashed on the right wing media. Sure we can say screw em, but I think were just screwing ourselves.

so they can't be ripped off. And if they get ripped off, well, we sue them.

Pretty simple.

21. If anyone clicks on the DU link
and reads more than the first post, they will see a different story. It would have been nice if the original poster could have followed DU rules for first posts in GD and left out F*CK.

Someone should start a rw blog expose' as well. I don't have the stomach for it.

Just my opinion, but it seems to me that you're letting the whores at the WSJ define the rules.

Democrats have to stop playing by their rules. The people that read that rag aren't going to vote Democratic no matter what. If they do, then you can rest assured they read other publications (unlike most of their readers, who probably think that the WSJ posting ads for Clinton 'body count' videos is 'fair journalism').

on edit: does anyone remember? Now that I think of it, I don't think they were paid to place ads for that crap... I think their editorial staff included references and ordering information in their ever-so-pravda-like 'editorials'. Can anyone confirm?

Just like other people said already, they'd be screaming foul if someone posted the crap that shows up on Lucianne.com or FreeRepublic.com DAILY -- and you must admit that comment was the sort a very small minority makes here at DU. (I haven't been here that long but from what I've seen, I mean.) For sure they wouldn't be on FreeRepublic saying 'we need to behave because the liberals are picking on us'.

25. hey...cool...
It seems to me that our discussions are being taken a little more seriously than in the past, and that's a good thing.

This is an unofficial site and quotes taken from the site are not proof of any official Democratic stand. So, not to hurt anyone's feelings, but it kinda sorta seems this writer is desperate to get a quote and couldn't find an "official" one that met his agenda.

Nothing to worry about, in my humble opinion.

someone was blatantly cheerleading new unemployment figures over in LBN the other day and I called them on it. My post was deleted and I was put down.(On edit; my brother recently lost his job, I was pissed and used one deragatory word, yeah, I'm the heavy)
This stuff makes us look bad, IMO.
