pass forth their judgement. TA, this is a rediculous question. Do you know what politics is? Do you understand that compromise, changing your mind, adopting new positions, etc. is the nature of the beast? Do you also understand that time alters perceptions, needs, ideas, etc., and that what a person believed 10 years ago can change today? Is "ideological purity" what we're looking for--SHOULD we be looking for that?!?

Once again, proof of self-destruction on our part.

I suppose you'd like to see a candidate that hasn't had a change of heart or mind over the last 20 years or so as our nominee. Unfortunately, Strom Thurmond is dead, and Reagan's got Alzheimer's. Maybe Byrd, if he were still in the KKK, or Senator Jeffords, had he not jumped across the aisle--damn flip-floppers.
