Poll question: MEMORY HOLE: How do you fare?
Edited on Wed Dec-10-03 12:18 PM by Gringo
The "liberal" media seems to conveniently forget most events of any significance within days of their happening, and thus, so do the American people (in the event that the media mentions them at all).

HOW MANY of these events from the last few years do you remember?

The Ehime Maru sinking

The downed spy plane in China

The Bush administration's $43 mil gift to the Taliban to "fight drug production"

The Bush administration slashing anti-terror funding in 2001 in favor of reviving the obsolete "Star Wars" program

The GAO's finding that none of the alleged destruction of the White House office buildings by departing Clinton staffers ever actually happened

The outing of CIA operative Valerie Plame by a Bush administration staff member.

5. OK, the first had me stumped
Ehimu Maru? I'll have to google it.

And, thanks to Al Franken, I knew about the GAO.

6. The Ehime Maru was a japanese boat full of students on a field trip
And a bunch of Bush cronies who were allowed at the controls of a US submarine caused it to capsize, killing most on board. It was a disgrace, in Dumbya's first year in office.

13. I remember it being quite soon after his inauguration.
Weeks, maybe? And it was an Enron buddy who was at the helm of the sub, which is SO not S.O.P.

7. That poll confused me and I voted wrong!
I thought each item corresponded to a # on the poll. I remember ALL of them but I started off voting for (what I thought was) the Eheme Maru incident! I discovered my mistake when I tried to vote for the downed spy plane!
:argh:

8. Me too, I supposed we were to vote for each one as numbered
but such was not the case. I remember them all and a bunch more that the mindless media have forgotten or failed to mention.

9. There. I tried to clarify the question a bit.
I can see how one would think I meant 'Which of these", but that would not let you vote for more than one, so it would be meaningless.

I hope you all inspect your ballots in November more carefully! ;-)

10. And people DIED in the Ehime Maru collision.
Yet it seems to have been forgotten. Can you imagine the investigations that would have resulted had the president been a Democrat?
