What's it mean to "support"?

I mean, we act like it is of great import who we individually "support" as if these decisions and announcements were earth-shattering.

Not to put down these individual pronouncement, as every vote is important, there's also a lot of hubris here. I mean, there seems to be some need to ponderously announce one's endorsement, and at the same time denigrate Gore's.

I would respectfully submit that unless you are donating real live money and/or getting out and actively working for a candidate, your "support" is a great deal of noise signifying nothing.

I fully realize that some folks are waiting for the actual nominee to emerge, which is cool. But unless you are ponying up $$$, or spending some time/work, you ain't "supporting" you are "endorsing" and you might want to acknowledge that when you post.
