A Question From Someone New To The Forum
Did I miss all the calm, insightful and well-reasoned debates between those partial to Dean and the Clark hopefuls? Or did they never take place in the first place?

Honestly I think they are both good candidates in their own way, I can't for the life of me understand all the negative energy bashing one or the other, when we presently have EVIL EVIL people in charge who can benefit by all of that. What is the purpose of running down all the Dems? There isn't ONE of them who I wouldn't be thrilled with compared to Bush!

1. There are many objective posters in both threads
In fact in all the candidate threads. You just need to ferret them out.

2. You missed the Dean - Kerry flame fests
That's what was here before the Dean - Clark flame fests. In between those are shorter, but well-reasoned debates.

8. That's What I'm Attempting To Do Here!
I am no expert on either one, just hoping to see a discussion among non-flamers.

4. My advice: use the ignore function liberally
It really improves the screen view. To tell the truth though, the politics and campaign forum has become useless. The GDF is not much better.

7. Dems seem to be too damn sensative about everything.
I agree. For some reason Dems are held to a higher standard and b/c of that everyone seems to go off on ridiculous rants and theories about every damn thing. Just take in the information and let the process playout. Every little bump in the road or difference we have in each other's candidate is not the end of all mankind!!! I'm referring to this firestorm of looneyness that gets started from one little thing. It's not productive and doesn't move us forward. So Gore endorses Dean. So what? That's nice. Now move on. But no. We go into a damn frenzy about was Liberman betrayed, Gore just tilted the nomination, and on & on ad naseum!!! No offense, but who cares about any of that crap!!! We're wasting our time debating Gore's endorsement when we should be having all our energy into how we're going to beat this craphole in the White House. We know someone will get the nomination one way or the other. But what the hell are we going to do after the nomination and what is our strategy to win the election? Healthy debate is fine. But meandering down these fruitless roads of mindless rants and complaints about each other when we know essentially we all want they same thing is senseless! Let's all support our candidates and may the best man win. But we have a tremendous battle ahead after that. That is why we must use as little energy as possible during the nomination process because we will need not only to come together as one but we'll need every ounce of stength to defeat this horrific destruction of our country!
