John Kerry advised to keep his effing mouth shut (re: Gore endorsement)
Edited on Mon Dec-08-03 11:27 PM by pruner
Mr. Gore has, in recent weeks, told friends that Dr. Dean's policy positions were closest to his own. Those involved with the endorsement negotiations said that Mrs. Gore was an early Dean enthusiast because each had an interest in mental health issues.

The decision caught most Democrats flat-footed. The office of Senator John Kerry of Massachusetts sent a response by e-mail, with a staff member's notation inadvertently left on the top: "Here are some options: I don't think Kerry should comment unless asked at a press event."

2. No, what's embarrassing is all the Dean supporters gloating
Honestly. Y'all can't just accept an endorsement graciously; you have to drag other candidates through the mud in order to feel good about it.

4. no, I accepted it graciously, you haven't.
Most Clark supporters have and I'm glad about that. I was laughing because the staffer had inadvertently left that note on the press release.

9. I accept the endorsement just fine, thanks.
I have said more than once that I think it's good news for Dean. I don't accept the insinuation that Dean has won the nomination with this endorsement, and I don't accept "nyah-nyah" posts like the one that started this thread.

Why the hell should Kerry comment on the endorsement anyway? If he does I sure hope he says "fuck" again.

Will Dean supporters call Dean a sellout

When they find out the deals that Dean cut to get Gore's support?

A thread for everyone who's very disappointed about Gore's endorsement

Gracious? We are honored.

Too bad there's not enough gratuity to go around.

7. The cruelty of some on this board
Dean supporters prove time and again how angry, narrow-minded, and cruel they can be. Far more than supporters of other candidates on this board. I've never seen such bashing of candidates - whether it's Kerry, Clark, Gephardt, or Lieberman.

First off, we should respect Lieberman regardless of whether we disagree with him. He's an honest man.

Second, why do you always seem to get off on gotcha stories? Who cares what a communications director says???

Your anger has taken over ---- and replaced whatever humility you had.

6. Were along
way from the end of this thing. Then we have to get behind our canidate. At the end of the NYT article, it stated that people don't like to be told who to vote for. I kinda agree!

What's the big deal about that?
Why should he comment before being asked to? And why shouldn't he respond if asked to?
