Here is how you know people are paying attention to candidates.

Walking to the car in the parking lot at the mall, we gave away two Dean buttons and flyers. We did not do one thing to get attention.

One lady comes up, says she sees our Dean buttons, where do you get them? Said she saw him speak yesterday on TV. We said right here, and gave her one, plus a flyer and our host's phone number.

Another comes along while we are talking, says he saw him on C-Span and liked his talk. Two more buttons gone, we just keep ordering gladly. One was a Democrat, one was not.
