Dean was just on Fox morning show.
Edited on Sun Dec-07-03 10:40 AM by Bleachers7
He is good when he is calm. The Faux reporter was trying to pin him down with some misused quotes. Dean did great. Yesterday at the Florida event, he gave a speech where he turned red and his head almost exploded. It was a real turn off. Later on he did Q&A and he was good. Dean needs to learn to keep it cool all the time. Clark\Dean '04

Note: I am in NY. It was on at 10:20am

1. Fair and balanced my ass
Notice that the NeoCon Kristol (who followed Dean) never gets interrupted, never gets a tough question other than "How bad are the democrats?"

7. I like Dean but I thought he came off unsure and ill at ease
Granted, it was FOX. But I thought Dean was over tolerant with this endless "why don't you release your records" harangue. He should just answer the question and move on with "I think I already answered that". And I didn't hear him mention that Bush, when he was running for president, didn't release his records. People don't really care about the records. They care about how he handles the controversy.

9. I think the reason he did not say "I think I already answered that" is ...
...because he was asked several different questions pertaining to the same issue. That was my take anyway. I am not sure if Fox provides transcripts or not? I would like to check my own recollection of the interview if possible.

6. If I may be so bold
Every day I try to get your account yanked! ;)

Seriously, I think you have a point, but I'd like to submit that Dean addresses different groups differently. He can shout until steam comes out of his ears at a Dean rally. And he should stay calm in interviews with FAUX hacks. There are situations that fall in between, and I think he's done pretty well putting the right face at each event. He has screwed up, and I do wish he would treat debates and conventions more like pep rallies, but I tdon't think he's getting himself in trouble.

11. he's better than Tony Snow...
no way Snow would have interviewed Andy Card that tough, which obviously isn't saying much :) ... Dean's up next here on the West Coast, so I'll see how he's treated soon.

13. So what if he was beet red
I have seen George Bush redder than a beet it comes out on his neck if you care to pay attention to it. I can't beleive people sit and look for something to complain about. I wonder how you would tell anger on Rice?

16. Why are you comparing Dean with Bush? Is that suppose
to make your case????? I don't want another bush! And WTF does that crack about anger on Rice is supposed to mean? You're very close to a racial slur. To suggest that you can't see anger on a brown person would only suggest that you don't know enough brown people to be able to tell. If you were experienced in dealing with brown people you would know how to tell when one is angry. :eyes:

14. Bullcrap he was beet red and I'm sick of this crap that he shouldn't
be angry. F*ck that.

I thought both Clark and Dean were great yesterday in Florida.

I'm sick of all the cheap shots here at DU at the Dem candidates - well except for shots at Lieberman who I think is handing Karl Rove some great lines.

15. If we don't get angry we don't win
It is that simple. Whoever gets the nomination, get fired up, speak plainly about the murderers and set us free from the hell that we live in today.
