16. It goes MUCH deeper and farther back than that!

This racial wedge issue is why we have not been able to develop a European style welfare state. People in western euro countries like Denmark have up till recently been far more homogeneous and therefore more trusting of each other than the USA. That is why we Americans have to work 30% more hours per year than the Danes/Swedes, etc., and they have universal health care and not us, why students pay no tuition for college and get a $500/mon stipend to go to college, while ours go tens of thousands of dollars into debt, and why even the Danes with menial jobs are able to travel for lengthy vacations on a regular basis, while ours are barely scraping by, and why they live several years more than we do on average, etc etc etc.

The investors and corporations and business lobbies have been able to divide and conquer, and race has been the best tool they have to do this.
