Calling a spade a spade. Stating the obvious.

Getting ready to kick ass! It's about time.

And Selection Fraud 2000 should be THE issue. Get over it? Not on your life!

1. NICE!
Clark is doing a fine job of speaking out bluntly and directly about what Bush REALLY is. I would not be surprised if he pops up out of nowhere and nabs the nomination.

10. C-SPAN tapes?
It it possible to get copies of CSPAN events? I know we can stream them online, but has anyone ever been able to order copies of them?

Tonight, Clark was fantastic.

I loved the "how can you call yourself a Catholic?" answer!

..so was just about everyone ... including another of the Dem candidates, Hillary Clinton, many democratic congressmen, etc.

I supported the invasion of Afghanistan and the elimination of the Taliban. I thought that group was a clear and present danger to the United States, and I supported what the President did.

Oh, well, I tend to believe the president. I think most Americans tends to believe the president.

Other dems praise Bush...

http://www.rnc.org/media/pdfs/dems043001.pdf

Not that I personally praise the president - but if we're going to rag on one Dem for doing it, let's be consistant.

Yeah, I know, they didn't say the same things so some people try to say "Yeah, But Clark was a lot nicer to Bush."

That kind of justification just doesn't wash.

29. Clark's appeal and message is to voters who are ..
sick to death of all the divisivness and bickering by the extremists on both sides. I'm with General Clark 100% on this. I'm sick of it. It's getting us no where. We can't beat the repukligans at their game. We have to be stealth.

Clark didn't use the "stolen" word but he came very close to in his Town Hall Meeting at Phillips Exeter Academy in Exeter, New Hampshire on Wednesday evening.

he was fawning at Bush's feet.

"What Must Be Done to Complete a Great Victory"

Guess he knows when to unhitch his wagon to a falling star...

Interesting, all the military gung-ho images dominating the subject lines of this thread. Almost as if covert military forces have forgotten, in their enthusiasm, and blown cover.

24. those are Clark's own words
from April 2003.

Right out of the horse's mouth.

Anything that shines a critical spotlight either causes you to zoneout or go wailing to the mods to shut it down as flamebait--when it is little more than an attempt to suppress the truth.

32. And meanwhile....
Dean continues to applaud members of the Bush administration.

I didn't even have to go back "a few months ago" for a quote.

From Monday's "Hardball":

MATTHEWS: Do you think he would be a good secretary of state for you, Colin Powell?

DEAN: I think he would be a good secretary of state, period. He is a loyal person. He knows, what he is doing.

So Dean thinks Powell, a man who lied to the UN to make a case for war, is "a good secretary of state... (who) knows what he is doing."

Neato! :hi:

40. Perhaps these last lines offer some clarity
on why there is now criticism coming from this candidate.

"Is this victory? Certainly the soldiers and generals can claim success. And surely, for the Iraqis there is a new-found sense of freedom. But remember, this was all about weapons of mass destruction. They haven’t yet been found. It was to continue the struggle against terror, bring democracy to Iraq, and create change, positive change, in the Middle East. And none of that is begun, much less completed.

Let’s have those parades on the Mall and down Constitution Avenue — but don’t demobilize yet. There’s a lot yet to be done, and not only by the diplomats."

Welcome to the Wes Wing! :bounce: The General will be an awesome President.

Maybe we should start working on NO term limits so we can keep him forever? ;)
