I've learned to live with mediocrity. 2 marriages, thousands of
differences, marital, professional and personal. Maybe a hundred different bands. Rock and roll ain't easy, don't you know? It's amazing that I'm still living.

I've always been a radical. I've won and lost some huge battles. I've negotiated my way through many more that weren't so huge, at least not to me. Those I lost, I at least had some future plans to negate the effect. I many times ultimately saw my objectives achieved. It was negotiation and forward thinking that attained those objectives.

My way or the highway is as useless to me as the third set of shoelace rings. Nothing, other than aesthetics, is gained and much is lost in the insistance in providing the forth set. It's all still eye-candy. I could get mathmatical with you here but I won't.

This is just a short note to encourage you fellow DUers to keep your eyes on the prize. You can give a little and gain a lot.

1. My way or the
highway NEVER works. Too many people are alienated. Somehow it has worked so far for Bush* in this country but the rest of the world has responded the was most people usually do. I can't understand this country of "yahoos" taking this for much longer. I mean, even stupid people think and like to have some give when deciding how their lives are to be spent. Thanks, eyes on the prize and work to get there.

always temporarilly. It's an intimidation thing, don't you know? Many, including many here in DU, just can't take the heat. It's sometimes easier to ally yourself with another, loser or not, than to embrace otherwise responsible voting habits. Masturbation works much the same way.

3. Negotiation short of "I told you so" just isn't a DU option, is it?
People that want to get things done never say, "I told you so". Folks that want to get things done just change directions and "keep on truckin'".

:-)
