My Email Exchange with a freeper moron
Freeper Email:

I don't believe I have republican blinders on. As I have stated before,
I vote for a democrat in almost every election if I feel he/she is the
better candidate. And I don't think Bush has lied. He may have
presented some data that, at the time, he believed was true that later
turned out to be somewhat in error. That is not lying - that is faulty
information from his sources, subject to later correction. It is
unfortunate, but to expect that all of the information the president
gets, and passes on, is 100% accurate 100% of the time is not realistic.
Nobody could ever say anything if that is the standard. Sometimes, just
like we all do every day, you have to go with the "preponderance of the
evidence," subject to future correction when additional data is
presented.

I was upset when Nixon resigned, but I believed that he had to do it. He
covered up a crime and that was unconscionable. The President should
have the highest of moral standards, and he should be held to a higher
standard than others. But think about it. Nixon didn't actually do
anything except cover up what others did - and he still had the honor to
resign. Clinton, on the other hand, committed felonies (perjury for one)
that you and I would have gone to jail for. He looked straight into the
TV camera and lied to every person on earth. And he still laughs about
it. There are countless examples of the moral differences between
democrats and republicans. About half of the democratic presidents since
Roosevelt have had fairly public affairs with women. None of the
republicans have. Mysterious deaths of people surround the democrats
(Marilyn Monroe, and several around Clinton) and none around the
republicans. The democratic mayor of Chicago, John Daly, literally
bought the election for JFK. The democrats ran the house of
representatives for years and they created the most corrupt banking
scheme going that you can imagine - the republicans dismantled it the
instant they took over. The leaders of all of the corrupt labor unions
are all democrats. Etc., etc., etc.

The fundamental difference between a democrat and a republican is this: a
democrat will do anything, and I mean anything, to win and keep power.
And they will rationalize it in ways that boggle the logical mind. A
republican will do the right thing, even if it costs him an election.
That is one of the reasons why the democrats are almost always in power.
The other reason, and the reason they are growing stronger, is that 99%
of the black population and 90% of the Hispanic population votes for the
democrats - because these groups can be bought, and they think they
deserve to be given something that the white oppressors owe them - and
the democrats give it to them, so they can stay in power. The best
person to speak on this last subject is Professor Walter Williams, a
black man who has a column in some Sunday newspapers. He says, "If
you're a poor adult in America, for the most part, it's all your fault."
And, "...if a person graduates from high school, with even a C average,
there is a college or some kind of skills training program somewhere for
him or her, and often financial assistance to boot. So if a person
doesn't take advantage of today's available opportunities and engages in
self-destructive behavior whose fault is it?" Professor Williams is
implying that it is the individuals fault. I agree 100% and I also
believe the democrats should share some of the blame - they created
welfare, and the so-called Great Society mentality, where certain groups
feel they have entitlements due to something that may have happened a
hundred years before they were born. I believe that people should get
off their butts and do something for themselves - not sit around and
whine about it and blame others and expect a hand out. I believe in a
Darwin approach to life. Get out there and do something for yourself and
your family, and go vote on election day.

LOL

That is the funniest thing I have heard anyone say in a long time. Do you really believe that? Remember that jackass Saxby Chambliss down in Georgia who defeated Max Cleland by running ads questioning Senator Cleland's patriotism? (Cleland is a Viet Nam vet and a triple amputee.) How about what they do to their own? Bush circulated rumors that McCain was mentally unstable from his experience as a POW during a key primary in South Carolina. I won't even go into the thug tactics they used during the Florida recount when they flew in Congressional staffers to intimidate the vote counters in Miami Dade.

XXXX, that has to be the most f&#%@ stupid statement I have heard anyone make. Keep it up man, it is soooooo funny. Keep on smokin' what ever it is your smokin' dude.

Sincerely,
Hokie

2. Well, aside from the fact that . . .
Chicago's mayor was Richard Daley, not John Daly (a mediocre professional golfer), your correspondent is a Grade A moran. Don't waste anymore time with him/her than you absolutely have to. Life is too brief and too precious to allow oxygen thieves like this to occupy your time.

3. Face it, the guy's an idiot
"The leaders of all the corrupt unions are Democrats". The idiot couldn't be MORE wrong. The most corrupt union is definately the Teamsters, followed closely by the Carpenters Union. Those two unions are solid Republican supporters. That's just one example of how the idiot was wrong. It would take an entire book to correct all of his ignorance.

4. Me too
I just finished a similar exchange, one where a "blinded" republican also claimed that Bush didn't lie. Here's my reply:

> First Bush never lied.

Riiigghhttt ;)

Want a list?

"We gave him a chance to allow the inspectors in, and he wouldn't let them in."

Ummm, inspectors were in Iraq for months before Bush launched his war. It was he who had them removed.

--------------
"You remember when Colin Powell stood up in front of the world, and he said Iraq has got laboratories, mobile labs to build biological weapons....They're illegal. They're against the United Nations resolutions, and we've so far discovered two.* And we'll find more weapons as time goes on, But for those who say we haven't found the banned manufacturing devices or banned weapons, they're wrong. We found them."

"My jobs and growth plan would reduce tax rates for everyone who pays income tax."

According to the nonprofit Center on Budget and Policy Priorities, an unspecified number of low- and middle-income families received no tax cut at all because they'd been excluded from an expansion of the child-care tax.

The list is so long. I won't even bother mentioning how Bush claimed repeatedly that he had no "war plans" for Iraq, in spite of the fact that planning for war with Iraq began within hours of the events of 9/11. I'll skip Bush's assertions that Iraq had a fleet of unmanned aircraft that could be used for "missions targeting the United States;" or how he cited a non-existent report from the IAEA saying the Iraqis were "six months away from developing a nuclear weapon."

Nor will I mention that Bush found it cute to tell audiences that he promised during the campaign that he would only allow the federal budget to go into a deficit in times of war, recession or national emergency, but that he never imagined he would "have a trifecta." (The only problem with that one is that Bush never made that campaign claim. He heard it though -- from Al Gore. D'oh!)

Here's on of my favorites. On January 27, 2003, Bush joked, "I've been to war. I've raised twins. If I had a choice, I'd rather go to war."

BEEN TO WAR??? Just what war was that? Bush's daddy pulled some strings to get him into the Texas Air National Guard. Avoiding combat apparently wasn't enough for him and he found it impossible to keep his committment to Guard duty. Here are the orders suspending him from flying status for failing to submit to a medical exam: http://www.talion.com/suspension.html. He failed to report to anybody for ten months after that. Here's a complete rundown of Bush's "war" record: http://www.talion.com/georgebush.html

Really now. Still think Bush isn't a liar?

5. The most corrupt unions are Democratic??
WTF. This guys an out and out moron. He gets a lot of other stuff wrong but this takes the cake.

The Teamsters have through history had the most corrupt organization. Last year, after being insulted be Labor Secretary Elaine Chow down in Florida, and a Delay fundraising letter bashing the Teamsters, James Hoffa (Jimmy's son) still wouldn't come out and give out and out support to Democrats. They are wishy washy about everything. Remember, the Teamsters represent truck drivers.

For years, the Teamsters, Carpenters, and Machinists still gave some Republicans money just for expressing sympathy to Unions in speeches. They ignored dozens of Repugs who voted anti-union but said pro-union things and still gave them money.

7. Not the worst thing they did to McCain
In the NC primary they circulated rumors that he had an interracial bastard child--playing off his adopted kid. Absolutely disgusting and shameless.

Great short answer to a long, completely addle-brained screed, though.

8. Looks like a case of psychological projection
he sees in Democrats what he really knows in Republicans.
