Just how big is the memory hole these days? --- WMDs, Iraq/Al Qaida
link, African Uranium, Wilson/Plame leak, 9/11 investigation, Osama dead or alive + Saddam DOA, energy conferences with Cheney, Enron/Kenny Boy,
anthrax mailers...just to name what leaps to mind.

1. The radical right
has discovered that a lie told often enough becomes as truth to many folks. It would seem that this is not lost upon the neoconservative democrats either, vis-a-vis their ridiculous charges about Nader and Greens.

Worse, it's a collective attention span.

Well, not ALL Americans, but more than enough to give * an undeserved win in 2004. Especially if the economy improves (which it won't, and surely not for the long term if * is elected.)

Like * having all the Nascars and drivers to the White House. That apparently is more important. I'm on the West Coast and haven't seen the news yet, but bet it will lead.x(
