Why don't you fight for your Country first, before hightailing it and running.

EDIT SPELLING.

6. Why?
I for one would rather save myself than die in a stupid fight. It's not as if post-Bush America will be much different from Bush's America.

And besides, I don't know about Postman, but I find that Canada seems much mroe pleasant a place to live in than the USA.

P.S. I shouldn't be fighting for the country, the country should be fighting for me. Take Kennedy's "ask not" for what it is and you get totalitarianism. Reverse it and you get humanism.

9. Being outspoken and educating others
to break through the constant hum of mother culture could be considered fighting for one's country, no?

11. Yes, but that is not how I understood the comment...
If I'm mistaken. I apologize.

3. No, remain an American citizen!
If you are a US citizen, we can count on your vote for the Democratic nominee, so long as you live in a particular US state for 30 days.

The world needs YOU!

7. You CAN go to Canada as "skilled worker class"
Eventually get Canadian citizenship and still hold US citizenship. I'm looking into theat right now with an eye toward moving to Toronto!

10. This is not a bad idea
I wish I had information for you, but I'm in your shoes.

I was compiling a list of other DUers who expressed a desire to migrate, but DU erased by Buddy list :(
