LOTR: "The Return of the King" and the Doctor Dean campaign
In Tolkein's trilogy, Aragon was both king and healer. Even though it was Frodo, the hobbit, and Gollum who destroyed Sauron, Aragon was the romantic hero and heir to the throne who healed those, like Merry the hobbit and Eowyn, princess of Rohan, who had been brutally wounded both physically and psychologically by Angmar, Sauron's chief Nazgul.

It's a coincidence of Fortune and Fate for us that Howard Dean is a healer (doctor) seeking the Presidency of the United States, the most powerful office in the land and most influential in the world. His campaign is geared to healing the American spirit by making us feel empowered again and encouraging us that we can make a difference.

The movie is coming out this December, a month before the Iowa Caucas and New Hampshire primary. Could Fate and Fortune be playing a trick on Bush Co. and Tolkein's story a prophetic vision for us in 2004?

I thought that this topic would be a fun muse for us.

5. I'm a Dean supporter, and even I see this as a perfect setup
for a hobbit/height joke.
