Bill Clinton considering run for California Governor.
Actually I am kidding.. but if Jack Kemp gets in.. Expect there to be a Dem to jump in and Gray Davis to bow to the will of the voters.,

There is a growing view that it might make more sense to the party to fight this on cositutional grounds, If Davis resigns the day befor e the election...the election is cancelled and the Liuetenant gov succeeds him. But if he loses the recall, its based on a plruality in a coincidental election.

Talk about the tyranny of the minority.

1. California Democrats are sticking together with this one
There are so many republicans getting in there that none of them will be able to defeat Gray Davis.

4. If Davis loses the recall
because you have 10 repukes doing get out the vote campaigns...It will not matter how united the dems are. No Dems running assures a GOP victory.

6. Wrong...
...The recall question is separate from the replacement question. If Davis gets an approval rate below 50%, then the winner of replacement succeeds hmi even if he gets 10% of the vote and has a 30% approval rate.

2. Then it's better he resign the day before & waste the rethugs money &
efforts.

They'd have to start all over again getting petitions and
ads and the money it costs. Good . break the republican
bank in California.

8. wrong
He had to resign before the recall petition was certified. If he resigns now, it just becomes a special election.

The scariest thing is that the winner will be whoever has the most votes. Even if it's just 10%.

5. You kind of got my hopes up!
Gov. Clinton would do a fine job I think. Of course, I'd prefer he take the NY position in 2006.

7. Kemp will still be splitting the votes with the egos of Issa and Simon
they won't back out. Bustamante can be written in. There are still legal challenges to come.
