8. The guy in the suit is an Israeli-American, Dan Senor
The Iraqi Ambassador to the US is an Iraqi-American living in the US, so why not have an Israeli-American as the Number 2 guy in Iraq?

Dan Senor
Advisor to the U.S. Presidential Envoy in Iraq

Dan Senor is a Senior Advisor to Presidential Envoy L. Paul Bremer III, Administrator of the Coalition Provisional Authority. Senor traveled to Baghdad in mid-April in one of the first civilian convoys to enter Iraq following the fall of the former regime. He has been serving in Iraq since, advising Amb. Bremer on a variety of policy and communications issues. During Operation Iraqi Freedom, Senor was based at Centcom Headquarters in Qatar, where he was Director of the Coalition Information Center. Senor has also served as a Legislative Aide, Press Secretary, and Communications Director for then-Senator Spencer Abraham (R-MI). Senor completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Western Ontario and Hebrew University of Jerusalem. He earned his MBA from Harvard Business School.

3. Don Help Me Out Here
I'm here in Oman watching CNN International... a few hours ago and a very shaken Nic Robertson does a break in story about a VERY SENIOR CONSULTANT ( an American) from Kellog, Brown & Root that was shot and killed Saturday... shot in the head .... but the story was just released from military sources...just minutes before Nic came on the air....

Nic looked quite shocked and uncomfortable and the way he stressed SENIOR CONSULTANT was unnerving... He said that death brought the total deaths in the past few days to 12.

Since then NOTHING more has been mentioned about this killing and CNNI is back saying 11 deaths in the past few days.

Anybody else watch CNNI....? Has CNN stateside mentioned this killing?

This is way beyond weird and I think whomever was killed is pretty high up the gravy train.

4. OK Mary. Here is my take. You know, grain of salt and that stuff?
They mentioned some contractor being killed during the briefing. The press started asking about it and CNN and MSNBC both cut away for a report on shark sightings or some other bullshit. I don't have much of an opinion about that.

But after listening to the part of the briefing the media felt we should be allowed to see there is no dout in my mind that we are really getting our asses kicked in Iraq. I have never thought I would live to see see the day I would hear someone try and spin more deaths in Iraq during a one month period since the war began as a good thing. No kidding. Anyone who is still thinking we have to stay until we win this thing is certifiable. Can't win this thing. I am starting to believe the Iraqis do want us to stay? They have turned killing westerners into a sport. And they always have home field advantage.

6. They just confirmed on CNN
And this is on their website.
<<And coalition officials say a civilian -- a senior security representative of a U.S. company providing contracted services in Iraq -- was shot and killed Saturday as he drove to a U.S. base north of Baghdad near Balad.

The representative was a citizen of Colombia and an employee of Kellogg Brown & Root Services, a subsidiary of Halliburton Co., U.S. Gen. Mark Kimmitt said. Colombia is among the members of the coalition.>>

7. KB&R:division of Halliburton
The press asked about 2 more dead US as well.
Question dodged.

10,000 US soldiers disabled since
March 1.

Forget about rotation/ drawdown, US can't keep up
w/ status quo.

Only way out is for US to escalate.
(Or immediate w/drawal hah)
