I just signed up with Granny D to register new voters
I have made up my mind to do whatever it takes to educate people about their lives and jobs and their personal special interest for a change.

This means, I have to overcome my disgust of walmart in order to destroy walmartizations of our lives.

They picked walmarts since they have soooooooooooooooooooo many stores, and sooooooooooooooooooo
many people hooked into their sweatshops with low prices paid for with the dignity of the victims their greed enslaves
with wages that couldn't even afford the low price goodies they are forced to promote.

Where else to kill the giant except in the giants very own super store prison. In a neighborhood near YOU!

I have not been inside of a walmart since old man sam died. So this won't be real comfortable. But they still won't get any of my money for someone elses poverty. I will be wearing my AFGE Local 3320 t shirt and cap, and buttons, and what ever else I can think of to push some buttons :-)

Anyone with me? It's for a good cause. Ironic the location, but what the hell, this is a different kind of war.

Sincerely
Peach

just go to www.grannyd.com or org. But please think of the horror of 4 more years the planet has the coward killing
us off, one by one.

1. The recall of Governor Davis was accomplished at
Wal-Marts. When I brought it up at my local Democratic Party Club meeting, that we didn't seem to have an opposition there to counter the petition signers, everyone looked at me as if I was a purple alien.

We are not meeting the opposition on the field. If we stay up on the stadium, then they will win the game.

2. don't forget SAFEWAY!
Safeway was a major backer of the recall as well. I haven't shopped there since and don't plan on EVER going back, those SOBs!

Walmart, Safeway, so many others - all slaves to the BFEE!

3. Bravo! Excellent!
for months I've been posting about the lack of interest in activism on DU (with zero replies). I was nearing the point of giving up completely on this site-but then you posted this thread! You've given me a glimmer of hope that action minded people DO exist on the left! :toast:

5. not to hijack this thread
but many of the folks in the Dean campaign in California are very actively supporting the unions in their struggle, by joining them picketing among other things.

If you seek activists, look no farther than this Wednesdays nights Meetup.

6. Granny D:
"I am proud to endorse Dennis Kucinich for President.

When I walked 3,200 miles across the United States for campaign reform and inquired of people why they were not voting, they said: 'Find us someone who understands us, who cares about us.' I'm talking about people living in trailers, people living in small towns with boarded-up windows on Main Street, with drugstores, grocery stores, hardware stores all eaten up by Wal-Mart, Costco, CVS Drugs, Home Depot, and other monsters several miles beyond the town. People coming out of farmhouses in Iowa, squeezed out of their livelihood by stinking agri-hog farms, people coming out of tobacco fields, cotton fields, wheat fields, people living in cities who have been out of work for over a year, people whose well-paid jobs have been shipped overseas, people desperate for relief from the oppressions of our corporatized and disempowered lives.

I promised to look for someone who would understand them, that had a vision of the future for them, that believed in Peace, Love, Justice. Well, here he is: Dennis Kucinich.

I believe he is the candidate who can bring new voters and disgruntled voters into the political process.

To those people I met on my walk across America: 'Now keep your promise to me and come out and vote for him! Hugs.'
