7. I Third WJC for Sec. of State
He is one of the very few American politicians still respected around the world. (Even though many here have drummed him out of the corps.)

13. Not Bill C, but Bill R.
Bill Richardson for Sec of State.

Puts New Mexico solidly in the Dem column, helps with Hispanic vote nationwide. Also doesn't erode the Dem numbers in Congress.

8. i know i'll probably get flamed for this
but i honestly don't know WHAT you guys see in graham...

he's boring, he comes across as a little slow to me, many of his policies are conservative, he has no charisma, and he's NOT gonna win florida for the dem ticket! not as long as jeb's at the helm...

21. "Southern strategy" Falacey
Didn't we just read that Dean raised the second most money in SC, and had the most contributors among small donors? Yes, Edwards raised the most money, but I really think it's a mistaken notion to think that a southern strategy (wich Dean has) relies on having a southern candidate.

10. A Little Slow
Edited on Fri Jul-25-03 01:31 PM by DemocratSinceBirth
A little slow....

He has a J E D from Harvard

We are little slow and laid back in Florida but we are not stupid.

Which policies of his are specifically conservative?

And, I think it will be near impossible to recapture the White House without a southerner or midwestener at the top of the ticket.

I pray I am wrong but I don't think so.

12. Edwards/Schakowsky
She doesn't "help" the ticket in the conventional sense, but she sure as hell helps me.

That's also a safe seat, and we have to be wary about losing seats.

18. Why not Clark as VP?
I think Clark would make an awesome VP candidate. Keep in mind, Secretaries of Defense really don't do any campaigning and Clark would be very valuable in that respect. He's absolutely unassailable.

20. What Clark brings to the table...
is extreme competence militarily. He's never run for office so has no governing competence. A VP will not run any of the sections of the Executive. We need a guy who will command enormous respect from the demoralized armed forces.

19. Eliot Spitzer, AG. Gore....somewhere...
I'm still very sentimental about Alby G.

But Eliot is terrific. I wouldn't be surprised to see him making a big move--run for governor, or something--in the future. And, he's got a beautiful family too.

22. where is SEABISCUIT?
LONG SHOTS DO WIN! Join our SEABISCUIT CAMPAIGN.
This weekend, the movie "Seabiscuit" will open across the country, and
hundreds of Kucinich volunteers will be there leafleting. The movie
tells the true story of a small, relatively-unknown racehorse -- derided
by the experts as a long shot with no chance of winning -- who not only
wins, but inspires a nation in the midst of the Great Depression.

In city after city, Kucinich for President volunteers will greet
moviegoers as they exit theaters with "Long Shots Do Win!" fliers and
literature about Kucinich, a candidate similarly derided by the pundits
but who is inspiring voters from coast to coast, as his campaign picks
up speed just 5 months out of the starting gate. To participate in the
"Seabiscuit" movie outreach effort, go to
http://kucinich.us/volunteeraction.htm

IMAGINE WHAT HE COULD DO AS PRESIDENT

:hi:

peace
