Got this e-mail from the Kucinich campaign. Thought maybe some here would be interested.

The Kucinich for President campaign is launching a new effort, urging
all volunteers to use the MeetUp website to organize with their friends
and neighbors. MeetUp is a website that allows you to plan monthly
meetings at restaurants in your city. Planning for the August 7
Kucinich meetings is already underway.

Voting has already begun on venues at which to hold Kucinich Meetups on
August 7 at 7 p.m. Cast your vote right away. There must be at least
five votes and, later, five RSVPs for any meetup to take place.

August 7th will be my 2nd.

2. Thousands have already signed up!!

Can't make the Aug. 7 meet-up because we are having OUR OWN DK rally/seminar. Expect about 200!!We are wondering if our space will be big enough!!

3. I'm waiting to hear for my area...

I'm using my maiden name so my spouse doesn't get in trouble.

I doubt this area (very red) will gather enough for a meeting, but, I'm interested in finding out for both Kucinich and Kerry.

4. Signed up.

24 so far in Salt Lake City. I'm supporting Dean but I like Kucinich. I may try and check out his meetup next month.

5. The one 2 months ago in Indy was cancelled, only 4 people signed up

I was curious enough to sign up for the one event. This month there are 21 people signed up, and a couple of them are Dean supporters that like what Dennis is saying.

I have graduate school at nights this Fall which will prevent me from attending any of the Dean, or anyone else's Meetups.

6. Indy, I hope your year goes well.

If you are a Green, you might be interested that our state chairman of the Greens (NM) is recommending Kucinich to the Green Party members. Here in our county, we estimate that 14% of our voters are Greens and DK will pull 10%. The other 4% probably will not change parties to vote in our early primary caucus. (Feb. 3)
