Anti-Wellstone bumper sticker upsets some

-Snip-
ST. PAUL - Late U.S. Sen. Paul Wellstone rode a green bus to his first U.S. Senate win. After his death the bus came to signify his legacy.

Some are now upset over a bumper sticker message about the bus found on the state Capitol grounds, saying the political propaganda crossed the line of good taste.

The sticker, which says "It's time to park the bus," was found on the back of a Minnesota Senate staffer's SUV.

5. They THINK of such tactics because they USE them.
Their rich supporters have been known to support Liberal causes in order to infiltrate and destroy them FROM THE INSIDE.
They go to demonsrations in order to pose as wild people and discredit the whole cause.

7. Exactly Ray
They think that we stoop to their level and their disgusting tactics.

I don't think it would ever even occur to one of us to do such a dishonest, distasteful thing!

9. Too true
And the media never passes up the opportunity to show one of their disruptors as the stereotype of the left.

3. I think Republicans capable of KILLING him,
so why be surprised about "parking the bus"? I think we should let them promote this AND THEN make a stink over it.

4. they had something about that on KSTP last night
They showed a lot of old footage of Paul and then they showed those #$##!!@! stickers.

Somewhere, Paul and Sheila are laughing at these pathetic fools.

6. That has to be the most sickening bumper sticker
I've ever seen.

Randy Wenke of the Repuke party of MN, "For all I know, Democrats put this on the car themselves in order to try and energize their base."

KSTP: That would seem unlikely, since the SUV carrying that bumper sticker is owned by an assistant to Republican state Sen. Michael Jungbauer."

These people are truly demented. Not regular Repubs. in MN, I'm talking about the party's leaders and insiders. Decent Repubs in MN- PLEASE see who the people you support really are. They are hateful and insane.

15. a lot of MN Pubs are/were fairly moderate
and I think they're becoming increasingly disturbed at how their party has been taken over by the stark raving loonies.

2002 was a big wake-up call to a lot of us here in MN, the backlash is gonna be huge...

10. I missed this on the news last night
but my mother didn't and she called me sputtering so hard I thought she was having a stroke.

Just when I think these people can't go any lower.

Let's take some comfort. It's just killing them that even though Paul is dead, but his message lives on.

12. "Just when I think these people can't go any lower."
And they make it worse by wrapping themselves in the flag. That horrible sticker sandwiched between faux patriotic stickers.

Real patriotism means showing respect for your fallen leaders, even if you disagree with them politically. That's why I didn't join in the rejoicing when Strom Thurmond passed away. It's tasteless and childish.

Dubya's agents were the one who killed him. But now it's Karma Kickback. Dean, and only Dean, can carry the torch because he's the only electable one who clearly is not working at all for the dark side.

Coleman's been pretty far off the radar locally, most of the attention is getting focused on Gov. Timmy who has single-handedly convinced my apolitical friends to get involved in DFL politics

21. amazing
that Paul Wellstone is still such a threat to them - even dead.

How very pathetic they are - and how afraid they must be in order to stoop so low.

Keep the bus moving forward.
